Chapter 115
Sara was silent for a beat. "But that place lost its power long ago. You told me "
"I know," I cut in, my heart hammering in my chest. "I thought it did. I was sure of it. But..." I trailed off, the realization sending a shiver down my spine. "What if it never lost its power? What if everyone deceived us? What if the witches were using it this whole time? Maybe this is the reason why we were never able to catch them. Remember the witch who cursed me, she was laughing. Telling me that we are nothing but pawns. maybe..."
Nathan's hand came to rest on my shoulder, grounding me as my mind raced. "There is no need for speculation. We know the location and we need to find the answers."
Tristan leaned in, his eyes sharp. "The altar... it's been active all along?"
"It must be," I said, my voice tight with anger. "I was fooled. I thought the curse was broken, that the power of the altar had been sealed away. But the witch- she's been using it, harnessing it. And now she's taken everyone there. Every pack, every werewolf she could control."
Sara was silent on the other end of the line, but I could feel the weight of what I had just said sinking in for both of us.
"Then we need to stop her," Sara said, her voice cold with determination. "Before she uses that power to do something worse."
"We will," I promised.
"Tell me what I can do, things are messy here. The people who are left are panicking and Ryan's pack is no better." she said.
I looked at the twins, their emotions varied but one thing was obvious that they were tensed.
"Just try to calm down. We will figure everything out and just calm down." Nathan said.
I nodded and took a deep breath.
"Sara don't panic. Just try to keep everything in control. You can do it and we all know it. Tell Ryan to do the same. You need to keep everything in order. Keep us updated and if you find anything weird just let us know. And please don't try to handle everything on your own. I am here and so is Ryan. You need to keep things in order. Together. I hope you can listen to me for once." I said, my voice was a little too desperate.
"Yes, I will. And Ella, please take care. I want you in one piece." She said,
I smiled, "Indeed. In one piece."
She chuckled.
Ending the call, I looked at Nathan and Tristan, my mind still racing. I am scared about my family and everything. My community is in danger.noveldrama
And maybe I am the reason.
Nathan's jaw was clenched, his eyes burning with anger. "If she's using the altar, that means she's been planning this for a long time."
"Too long," Tristan muttered, his fists tightening. "And now she's taken everyone we care about."
"Alpha Rambo was the pawn all along, she played everyone." Nathan said.
I nodded, my own anger boiling beneath the surface. The witch had been
deceiving us from the start, using the power of the altar to manipulate and control, and we had walked right into her trap.
But not anymore.
My thoughts Swirled like a storm, the weight of everything pressing down on me-our families missing, the packs under the witch's control, the altar still pulsing with dark power. The overwhelming sense of failure gnawed at me. I should have seen this coming. I should have known.
Nathan and Tristan, as if sensing my inner turmoil, stepped closer. Nathan's hand found mine, his thumb tracing gentle circles along my skin, while Tristan rested his forehead against mine, his touch grounding me, pulling me out of the chaos in my mind.
"Hey," Nathan whispered, his voice a low rumble, "we've got this."
Tristan nodded, his dark eyes steady on mine. "You're not doing this alone, Ella. We're with you."
"I know, I just..." I trailed off.
Nathan held my chin with his two fingers and turned me towards him, "Look at me, my brother. Do you really think we would let anyone touch you."
His eyes were intense, ready to drown me.
"It's not that. I trust you. I trust you more than me, it's just that I am scared for everyone. For my family, for yours, friends, community and...you. I need you." I said.
They looked at me, "You don't have to. We will protect you and we know that you will protect us. We are team Ella, and we will be together till the end of the time."
Their calm strength washed over me, and I let out a breath I didn't know I'd been holding. They were right. I wasn't alone in this fight. We had come too far to lose
now.
I closed my eyes for a moment, allowing their presence to calm the storm raging inside me. My heartbeat slowed, my focus sharpening as their warmth surrounded me. When I opened my eyes again, my resolve was steady.
"We need to move," I said, pulling away just enough to look at them. "But first, Sara and Ryan need to stabilize the other packs. We can't afford to lose any more wolves."
Nathan squeezed my hand, his expression hardening with determination. "Sara will take care of everything."
I gathered my thoughts, formulating
a plan. The witch had drawn us to the altar, and she was using it to control everyone. But we had a weapon of our own-my white wolf powers. I had already purified wolves before, breaking their chains of control. Now, we would use that to free the others.
Nathan looked at me, "I talked to Ryan and he told me that Sara and Ryan are handling the packs. They'll keep things in check while we take care of the altar." "Good,” I said, straightening my shoulders. "Then let's go."
What do you think?
