Chapter 1619
What did that mean?
Did he see the dog as her? Or did he treat her as a dog? That was not all. What kind of an awful name did he give it? Dumby Castle? Was he trying to say that she was stupid? Stinking man! He was asking for trouble!
As soon as she raised her hand, Waverly intended to pinch him, but while retreating, Wyatt had fled with big steps and a hearty laugh.
In fact, the dog was indeed kept to find an excuse to openly visit her. Later, Wyatt started missing Waverly whenever he was looking at the dog, so he took Dumby as her and carefully raised it well.
"Wyatt, stop right there! I promise I won't beat you to death..."
After chasing after him all the way, Waverly huffed and puffed, shrieking. The master and servant, the man and dog. Evidently, they were bullying her.
They chased and frolicked, not noticing that they were running toward the gate. Right then, servants were exiting and entering the gate. To their dismay, Dumby took the opportunity to sneak out. Catching sight of it, Waverly shouted.
"Alas, Dumby ran out!"
In two or three steps, they left the house one after the other. Catching a glimpse of a dull figure on one side, Wyatt halted in his tracks without realizing it. While watching the dog run away and chasing after Wyatt, Waverly failed to notice the figure by the side, so she hopped onto Wyatt and gave him a cheeky punch.
"You're caught, aren't you?"
As soon as she raised her hand, she came to an instant realization that something was not right with him. Following his line of sight, she slowly turned around to see a beautiful dull figure by the door.
Raynee?
Right then, she wore a plain ribbon long dress, paired with her slender line, highlighting her dignified, elegant, and sexy aura. Her long straight hair was tied in a high ponytail at the back of her head. She was a dazzling beauty with a beautiful temperament, but there was a strange expression on her face right then. She seemed to be laughing yet crying. Judging from her stiff posture, no one knew how long she had been standing rooted to the spot.
All of a sudden, Waverly recalled the scene when the woman had come to her house with a pregnant belly. Back then, she might have the same expression as Raynee had right then, hadn't she?noveldrama
Hurt, shocked, unable to accept the scene in front of her!
Why would a woman make things difficult for another woman? Although she did not like Raynee, Waverly vaguely sensed that she had to bear a portion of the responsibility for the end of Raynee's relationship with Wyatt. She did not know if she was a mistress, but she was not willing to fight with a woman for a man. Relationships that needed her to fight for were not hers!
Whatever belonged to her, the man would give it to her, instead of her having to fight for it herself! Would she be able to keep something she had fought for by her side? What was the use of it then?
Slowly, she withdrew her hand and took a step back.
"I-I'll go looking for Dumby."
Raynee was around. They should have something to say!
As soon as she turned around, Wyatt reached out to stop her, pulling her into his arms as he declared, "You don't have to avoid us!"
Taking a step forward while holding Waverly in his arms, he asked, "What's the matter?"
Raynee shook her head subconsciously, but her eyes fell on the wound on Waverly's body. The news had been reported, and she saw it with her own eyes that day...
Raynee's mind was filled with the scenes of Waverly sulking and throwing a fit with Wyatt bending over to wear her shoes on her.
Raynee could no longer think straight. They were indeed like a couple madly in love, but how could he accept such a woman?
Why had she lost to a nobody after years of relationship?
Raynee's fists slightly clenched, but she could not figure it out.
Not knowing whether it was the truth before her eyes that was too heavy or the shocking scene on that day that sprouted the guilt in her heart, the calmness in her heart was more than the anger and shock she was feeling right then!
He didn't want the relationship between the three to continue. Knowing that she needed time to accept everything, Wyatt said nothing, so he held Waverly's hand and suggested.
"Let's go back!"
She turned around and took two steps forward. As if she was reminded of an important issue, Waverly paused. "Dumby?"
The next second, Wyatt raised his hand and whistled, to which Dumby responded by trotting up to them. With her eyes widened in shock, Waverly bent over and pulled the dog's rope to make two turns around her wrist.
Why wouldn't he put his trick to use just then? She had to go around chasing after the two!
Subsequently, they returned to the mansion with the dog. The sudden appearance of Raynee cooled the atmosphere. When they returned to the room, Waverly changed into her outdoor clothes.
Seeing that she seemed to be packing her bag, Wyatt came to his senses. "What's wrong? Are you mad?"
He thought she had been magnanimous enough to leave them to talk on their own!
Shaking her head, Waverly did not stop in her movements. "I should head home!" How could she be staying at his place all the time? The most important thing was that she had healed and was ready to leave!
"Waverly, my relationship with her is in the past. There won't be anything between us again!"
He was dissatisfied with how serious of an injury she had suffered when she had thrown a tantrum. Although she was lucky to be fine, there was a knot in his heart as he couldn't forgive himself!
"I'm not mad, but I've been out here for too long. I have to go back and check on my house..."
How could she have the nerve to say after seeing Raynee, she was reminded of the nonsense Raynee had blabbered about having sex seven times per night? With a lingering fear in her heart, she intended to escape. "I don't have any clean clothes left!"
What he had selected for her were almost all home clothes. Anyway, they were so ugly that they were not her type!
Staring at her embarrassed face, he subconsciously believed that she was near to losing her temper. As he hugged her from behind, he whispered.
"Let's go out for dinner, then I'll take you shopping for new clothes before I'll send you home to check out the house, but you must come back with me after you take some more clothes with you. I have to goon a business trip after I get busy, so I don't know when I'll be free again. I want to spend more time with you!"
He couldn't bear to leave her! Without her being under his watch, he felt uneasy
all over! He didn't know whether it was a result of him being frightened by the incident, Wyatt had a vague terrible gut feeling.
"Sure! Then I'll listen to you."
Although she said so, Waverly plotted her plans deep down. "Whether or not she went home or returned to Wyatt's place is up to her to decide."
Turning around, she was greedy for his warm hug. "I want a bouquet of flowers, red roses!"
She always felt that a rose and ring were necessary for a couple in love. All of a sudden, she wanted to enjoy spicing things up a little.
There had been no one at home for a few days. It must be lonely, so a little redness would add to the festive mood.
In the past few days, she was not around. She knew that he had sent Aunt McGowan home for a vacation. She wanted to return home on the spur of the moment, so Aunt McGowan must not be able to rush back in a short period.
"All right!"
She hadn't left home for a long time, so Waverly was a little excited. In such a warm atmosphere with all kinds of delicious food and drinks, she was in high spirits. She took Wyatt along the way and made a plan.
"Buy two suits so that I can wear them to work on Monday! Do you want anything? How about we buy two watches? You can buy them and gift them to me
this time. You should buy something that is more expensive and unique than mine that can't be forged..."
Soon, she could return to the right path and spend her peaceful yet meaningful life! Freedom was the most terrible illness in the world.
"Baby, isn't that impossible? Do I have a choice?"
That said, he would fulfill her wishes no matter what!
After selecting two outfits, Wyatt gave her a red bouquet of roses. Since he hadn't been able to place the order in advance, he couldn't get 999 roses at once. In the end, Ke bought a bouquet consisting of 99 roses. By the time he left the florist with the bouquet in his arms, Waverly's eyes were curved into a delighted grin. It didn't matter whether she had asked for them since it was fine if she could get them.
Before they knew it, it was past nine o'clock. The two of them did not go on. They
got in the car and went straight to Waverly's Violet Castle Villa.
At the door, looking at her own villa, she felt a sense of warmth. No matter how magnificent manors out there were, it wasn't as comfortable as her villa. While Waverly opened the floor, Wyatt carried her bags. Stepping toward the door, her mind was filled with thoughts about how to get him to leave, to the point where Waverly did not notice that the door to her house was unlocked.
As soon as she entered the door, she was dumbfounded.
In the hall, a vase fell to the ground and was smashed into smithereens. The sofa cushion was turned over. Although it did not fall, it was half drooped. On one side
of the curtain was the sound of the wind rustling, along with the heavy curtains
trembling with it.
"What's going on?"
Had there been a robbery?
As soon as the thought came to her mind, Waverly's face paled. She turned around and grabbed Wyatt's sleeve before going up to behind him, hugging and staring at him with her appalled gaze.
"What should I do? Has the thief left yet?" She pondered.
It was at that moment she was glad that she had returned home with Wyatt. If she
did it by herself, wouldn't she be scared to death?
As she thought about it, her legs went weak.
With a frown, Wyatt placed the items aside.
His cold and stern gaze swept around the scene before he bent over to touch the
porcelain vase on the ground. There was slight a layer of dust. Getting up to his feet, he reassured her by saying.
"It's fine! It should have been a while! Go and see if there's anything missing."
In the past less than two weeks she
went to his house, he had asked Aunt McGowan not to come back for the time being and wait for notification. At the scene of how the
sofa had been turned over met
did not
seem to be a theft, but rather, the culprit had been searching for something!
An idea flashed across Wyatt's mind.
Frightened by the scene in front of her, Waverly tugged at Wyatt's clothes and
timidly whimpered, "I'm afraid. Call the police! We can talk about it after the police
are here. It doesn't matter if I lose my belongings! I don't want it anymore! I don't want to live here anymore!"
Wyatt turned around and pulled her into his embrace. "Alright, alright, don't be afraid. Am I not here? It's going to be fine!"
Since she said so, there must be nothing in the house that couldn't be exposed, wasn't afraid of being lost and investigated. Was the item with her? Or had it been hidden well by her, so there was no need for her to worry at all?
The thought flashed through his mind. He looked around and picked up his phone. After lodging a police report, he sent a text to Seth.
What do you think?
