Chosen By The Moon

Chapter 0425

"So be it..." The gun shot out loudly over the hallway, and pain once again quickly engulfed me. My front leg was instantly hit by a speeding bullet, it shot into me with a speed and force that caused it to go right through the leg and out of the other side. The burning sensation that came with it, was enough to elicit a loud howl out of my mouth.

Fuck!

Silver really was no joke to lycans. Not that it deterred me. If anything it only increased my anger.

I growled before launching myself at the gun, and latching my teeth painfully on to the lycans wrist causing him to pull the trigger yet again. I don't think they were expecting me to attack them while they had that pistol.

A second bullet flew through the air, however this time it shot past me, hitting one of the unshifted men directly in the chest. He instantly keeled over groaning while bleeding out. That when I realized something, these wolves were attempting to subdue me, they weren't trying to kill me. They must have been given orders.

I growled again, pushing through the burning pain now searing through my leg, besides, I'm pretty certain that young Dylan had gone through much worse. I allowed My strong jaw to tighten around the mans wrist and I tugged hard, feeling his flesh begin to rip from the force I used while the gun he had previously held, crashed to the floor in the growing pool of blood.

The rest of the men began to shift, and I knew I was screwed, however I had started this, I knew I had to finish it. I finally released the wolfs human hand and began attacking the now shifted warriors.

I was clawed, and bitten to no end, however all the blows given to me were deliberate and precise, not a single attack was made with the intention of killing me, which made my victory pretty easy.

As soon as my path to the hospital wing was clear I made my way through, passing cowering nurses and healers. That is until the most intense scent met my nose, and it caused me to forget all about my anger.

I subconsciously began to follow the smell further and further into the hospital wing, when I suddenly came to a stop walked over to a single room that had seemed to envelope every sense that I had, and widened my eyes at the sight before me.

There, lying in the bed, looking both sweaty and pale lay Lorellia, and the scent that had completely

captivated me was coming directly from her. There was no disputing it, Lorella really was my mate. Her scent alone told me that much, but the way she looked at me caused my stomach to flutter, and I

absolutely hated it. Content belongsnoveldrama

"Carlos... I knew you'd survive for me." She stated, her voice holding an airy breathless tone that made me believe her Labour was in full swing.

Did she truly believe that I survived that horrendous experience for her sake? I wish to see my daughter again and tell her how proud she has made me. I wish to see young Dylan again, so she could understand just how inspirational she was to me.

No, I didn't survive for her, I survived because I had things I wished to accomplish.

I growled, not liking the fact that I couldn't communicate with the woman in the bed. My brain coming up with thousands of snarky, hate filled remarks, but my mouth completely unable to project them.

She was my mate, undoubtedly so,

et

and it destroyed me knowing that for certain. Tadmit, I had always thought that there had been some sort of mistake that had been made, and for some reason I was paired with the kings aunt for a joke, but no, it was real.

The revelation caused several questions to begin churning in my head and I growled loudly, causing fear to cloud her features.
