Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 1060

Chapter 1060:

Jared had been hiding in the dark garden. As soon as his business partner left, he emerged and ran toward the castle Madisyn had mentioned.

When he reached the castle, he stopped a maid at random.

The maid was Ailyn’s trusted confidante and was very tight-lipped. But for Jared, a member of the Qiviut Organization skilled in interrogation, getting her to reveal Madisyn’s situation was easy.

After learning that Madisyn was imprisoned, Jared knocked the maid unconscious. He quickly checked the castle’s layout and decided to climb the wall to get in.

But as he was about to jump through a window, a young woman’s head popped out from inside, holding Madisyn’s medical kit.noveldrama

“Hey, girl! What are you doing sneaking around with that medical kit?”

The young woman was so startled by Jared’s sudden appearance that she was about to scream. But before she could, Jared braced himself on the windowsill, flipped inside, and quickly covered her mouth.

Jared’s swift movement startled Albertine. Her wide eyes were filled with terror as he pressed a gloved hand gently but firmly over her mouth. She kept shaking her head, still holding Madisyn’s medical kit tightly.

Last night, Albertine had wanted to go out to find Madisyn. But on her way downstairs, she ran into her father, who had heard that Alan had offended someone and had been taken away. He did not relent in punishing her and took her to the room where she was always locked when she made a mistake.

In the afternoon, she was starving, but no one had brought her food.

Since Albertine was often sent to this room for punishment, the place was no stranger to her. She already knew how to escape it.

But after escaping the room, she saw Madisyn locked inside the next room through its locked skylight. Madisyn, lying on the floor, suddenly opened her eyes and looked at Albertine.

Desperation tinged Albertine’s voice as she warned Madisyn about her father and Ailyn’s sinister plans. Yet Madisyn merely asked her to hide her medical kit. A promise was a promise, and she intended to honor it.

In a burst of panic, Albertine wrenched her hand from Jared’s grip and sank her teeth into his flesh. Though the bite forced him to release her, Jared’s reflexes were quick. The medical kit was back in his possession before she could blink.

“Give it back to me!” Albertine hissed, keeping her voice low as she lunged for the kit.

Jared clutched the medical kit to his chest, studying her with growing suspicion. Something about her desperate behavior didn’t add up.

“This medical kit isn’t yours,” he said, his voice sharp as steel. “Tell me, why did you steal it?” His iron grip found Albertine’s wrists again as he demanded answers, his tone glacial.
