Chapter 73
Zeke POV
Her first sparring session is with the guy who was giving her tips on the obstacle course - I think his name is Tim or Tom. She whispers something in his ear before they both smile at each other and break apart, taking their stance facing each other. It's really f*cking annoying, they are acting as if they are little children.
As I am easily fending off the warrior I am sparring with, I am watching her sparring session with the guy. She doesn't seem nearly as feisty as when she fought with Zane and me. Perhaps it is because she caught us off guard then, or perhaps it is because she is tired now. But this is going to be easy-peasy. If we wait for her to tire out even more, I will barely have to lift a finger.
Looking at Tim (or Tom - I'll stick to Tim), he is definitely not giving it his all, he is holding his punches, and it seems more like a lovers' dance than a fight. It pisses me the hell off. I storm over there, not even excusing myself from my sparring partner. "You! Your name is Tim, right?
Why are you holding your punches?" I ask him with a frown and my arms folded across my chest. "It's Tom, your highness. I am not holding my punches, sir" he replies, looking a little bewildered.
He probably didn't think anyone would notice, let alone bother to storm over here to confront him. I growl lowly "you are. This seems more like 2 lovers having a fight than it seems like a royal warriors sparring session. Get your head out of your *ss and spar like you would do with any other warrior".
His jaw is twitching when he answers me curtly "yes, your highness" and I can see the anger in his eyes, but I don't give a f*ck. I return to my sparring partner and see Tim looking at her apologetically. I look over to her, and she just shrugs and winks at him. She f*cking winks at him!
Are they a thing or something? Zane is obviously watching them too as he growls through the mind link 'are they an item or something?' 'it looks a lot like it, that f*cker'.
This pisses me off and my sparring partner has to bear the brunt as I land a few relentless punches, knocking him out in the process. Seeing them together like that pisses me off royally, and it is taking all my restraint to not march back over there. They know I am watching, so Tim is putting more effort into it, but I can tell he is still holding back slightly. However, he is now landing punches here and there and landing her on her *ss a few times even.
She is fighting back, but she isn't landing any punches at him. Is it because she is incapable, or because she cares about him and doesn't want to hurt him? My mood is getting fouler by the second as I watch them, but I am brought out of my trance when the head warrior announces it is time to switch partners.
I'm watching her give him a hug and whisper something in his ear, and I can't suppress the low growl that escapes me whilst watching them. I can feel my claws itching to be let out and storm over there, but my wolf and I have to keep it together.
Why is she getting under my skin so much? I have always hated rogues with a passion and, although I really don't want to admit this to myself, I'm not even sure where this blazing anger is coming from right now and where it is aimed at.To avoid an incomplete reading experience, visit Jobn'i'b.com. But something about the whole thing is pissing me off beyond reasoning. I'm not even sure myself anymore if it is just because she is a rogue and people seem to like her.
But it has to be that. I shake off my confusion when she is approached by another warrior to team up. When I am finally composed again, I can see a warrior standing next to me, staring at me with a confused look.noveldrama
"What?" I grit out. "Your highness, would you like to spar with me?" "oh... Yeah, sure". This is a mediocre warrior I would say, so I can still focus on the battle a few yards away from me.
As I suspected, she was holding back for that Tim f*cker, as she is actually landing punches at this new guy. What the hell is so special about this Tim f*cker for her to hold back anyway? He looks mediocre at best with his brown hair and brown eyes. Nothing about him is special. Whereas Zane and I could get every she wolf in this Kingdom at the snap of our fingers. And she didn't seem to have any issues going all out on us.
I must have zoned out, because all of a sudden I get a punch in my stomach and get sent on my *ss. I look up to see the warrior I was sparring with having an anxious expression on his face, probably scared of what I am about to say or do. But I can't help but glue
my eyes immediately back to the girl, not even acknowledging what just happened. They are both landing punches back and forth, but she is mostly dodging punches as opposed to actually fighting back.
Considering how calculating she was on the obstacle course, I assume she is saving strength. 'Look at that pathetic Tom f*cker over there, he is still watching her like a hawk rather than sparring with his new partner'
Zane growls through the mind link. I guess he is equally not a fan of Tim as I am (yes I know now his actual name is Tom. But I'll keep calling him Tim just for the sake of it).'
I'm sparring with Tim next, let's get this f*cker' I tell Zane while he grins at me in return 'I'll take him after. If he is still standing that is'. Oh, I don't plan on it.
