Chapter 1311
Samuel and Brodie burst onto the scene just in time, their eyes widening in shock as they made a beeline for Flora. There was only one thought racing through their minds: they had to stop that needle from reaching Flora!
"This is absurd."
The man's cool lips curled into a smirk. One hand rested on Flora's waist, while the other deftly caught the silver needle mid-air, flipping it around with a flick of his wrist and sending it straight into the butler's chest with a swift "whoosh." The butler crumpled to his knees, pain etched across his face. He gasped through his agony as he spotted Samuel and Brodie at the doorway, "Master, Alan!"
"They're trying to kill Miss! Please save her!"
"Uncle..." Tara's eyes filled with tears.
Flora hesitated, her finger poised on the trigger, her icy stare locking onto Samuel and Brodie.
When their eyes met hers, a chill ran down Samuel and Brodie's spines. They knew-thanks to Brodie's meticulous investigation and the paternity test Connor had provided that Flora was indeed their niece. "Flora..." Samuel started.
"Think you can stop me?" Her lips twisted into a cold smile.
She wouldn't hesitate to sever ties if they stood in her way.
"I'm sorry for everything you've been through," Samuel said quietly. "These years have been tough on you, and it's my fault for not being there."
They had confused someone else for their niece, leaving Flora to endure hardships alone.
"Uncle, what are you saying..." Tara stared at Samuel, baffled by their sudden revelation of being Flora's uncles.
"Miss, you might not know this, but our lady is the real Miss of the Roth family!" Beck sneered. "You've been parading around with a fake identity for years, and now you have the audacity to scheme against her?" Tara's face went pale. Flora was the true Miss Roth. She looked to Samuel and Brodie for denial, but their expressions told her everything Beck said was true.
Everything she had was rightfully Flora's.
She couldn't accept it!
Tara glared at Flora, eyes fixed on the gun pointed at her head. In a desperate move, she grabbed Flora's wrist, twisting the gun towards Flora, and pulled the trigger- "How foolish."
Flora's lips curled into a cool smile as she effortlessly snapped Tara's wrist and redirected the gun back to Tara's forehead-
"Bang!"
The sound echoed, and Tara fell, a bloom of blood marking her end.
"Sorry, but it's too late to plead for her now," Flora said casually, tossing the gun aside and meeting Samuel and Brodie's eyes with a light chuckle.
A bit rebellious, a bit carefree.
Samuel and Brodie were struck silent.
They had wanted to speak up for
Tara, having raised her all those years, but Flora's gaze was too intimidating. Before they could say a
word,novelbin
Tara was gone.
"Connor, let's go back," Flora's voice cracked slightly as she leaned on Connor's shoulder.
"Okay." Connor nodded, scooping her up and walking out, leaving Samuel and Brodie behind as Moss blocked their path.
"Gentlemen, it's best you sort out the Roth family affairs first."
Connor carried Flora back to the
Enforcement Division. Resting her head on his shoulder, she mumbled,
"Connor, I want to go back to Austenberg. I miss Dad and my brother."
en
"Alright, I'll take you back."

Knowing Flora was homesick, Connor wasted no time arranging their trip back to Austenberg. As they drove, Connor gently nudged
Flora, "Flora, look behind."
Turning, Flora spotted a car trailing them, driven by none other than Brodie and Samuel. Brodie even managed a smile when their eyes met.
Flora, expressionless, turned back, finding it all a bit ridiculous.
But she didn't stop them from tagging along to Austenberg.
The thought of seeing her dad and brother soon brought a smile to Flora's lips.
"Connor."
"Yeah?"
"When we get back, let's get married, have a wedding, and then a whole bunch of kids!"
"Sounds perfect."
Connor smiled softly, his eyes brimming with tender affection. He was ready to give Flora the wedding of a lifetime.
