Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1544

Fiona casually ordered a few dishes, knowing the three of them wouldn't be able to eat much. After passing the tablet to the middle-aged man next to her, she stood up. "Hey, I'm just gonna hit the restroom," she said with a smile.

Her sweet, innocent vibe was hard to resist, prompting the man to step forward quickly. "Miss, the restroom's down the hall. Watch out for the slippery floor."

"Thanks," Fiona replied with a polite nod.

As she walked away, the man took the menu and left, casting a curious glance at Jackson and Fiona. He'd seen Jackson at the Emerald Hall before, but this was the first time he brought a young woman along. Interesting!

Fiona seemed young and adorably charming, but her identity was a mystery.

When Fiona came out of the restroom, she ran into Janet and Patricia, who looked like they were up to something.

Leaning against the restroom door, they whispered while casting sneaky glances around. When they noticed Fiona, Janet's eyes widened in surprise. "Fiona, what are you doing here?"

"What's it to you?" Fiona shot back, rolling her eyes and turning to leave.

Patricia acted fast, pulling Janet aside and whispering something in her ear. Sure enough, a realization dawned on Janet's face.

She grabbed Fiona, who was about to walk away, and smirked. "You think you're something, just because Mr. Fitzgerald is backing you? Without him, you think you'd be living the high life?"noveldrama

Fiona's expression hardened as she stared at Janet, a chilly glint in her eyes. She wasn't too worried about Janet's constant pestering, but when it came to Jackson, it hit a nerve.

No one messed with Jackson.

"Yeah, coming from the sticks and all, dining here must be a big deal for you. Your folks probably couldn'tè even afford a bowl of soup here. If it weren't for Mr. Fitzgerald, you е wouldn't even step foot in Emerald Half."

"Don't talk like that," Janet added, pulling Patricia closer with a smug grin at Fiona. "Our family isn't something ordinary folks can measure up to. Fiona, if Mr.

Fitzgerald ever loses interest in you, do you think your future will still be bright?"

"Just spill it already," Fiona snapped coldly.

"You'll find out soon enough," Janet laughed, her voice as annoying as a crow's

caw.

Fiona looked at them like they were complete idiots and couldn't help but retort, "If you're unwell, go see a doctor."

Just then, the middle-aged man who had been attending to Jackson at the Emerald Hall walked over, respectfully addressing Fiona. "Ms. Fiona, there you are."

Hearing the man's words, Janet and Patricia froze, staring at Fiona in disbelief.

Just some girl, and yet the manager of Emerald Hall came looking for her? Did Fiona really deserve this?

"Janet, it's gotta be Mr. Fitzgerald. She must've said something to him. Nash is probably here too."

At the mention of Nash, Janet's face twisted with envy.

"Ms. Fiona, do you know them?" The middle-aged man glanced at Janet and Patricia before continuing, if they're friends of Ms. Fiona, tonight's tab is on the house."
