Chapter 1560
Fiona was pretty excited about the idea of visiting a film set, especially since she didn't have to worry about school anymore.
"Wanna check it out inside?" Jackson asked, noticing her excitement and giving her slightly chubby cheek a playful pinch. "If you want to go, I'll take you in. How about that?"
Fiona nodded, cozying up to Jackson's arm. "Absolutely!"
Being pampered like this felt wonderful! A small smile crept onto her lips, which even she didn't notice, but Jackson did. She seemed to be getting cuter by the day.
After a quick nod to a nearby bodyguard, it took just a few minutes for the three of them to smoothly make their way onto the set.noveldrama
The crew was in the middle of shooting a scene. Fiona glanced around; it looked like a fantasy film. The actors were dressed in elaborate period costumes, complete with headpieces, and each of them had a shiny silver sword strapped to their side.
Jackson led Fiona by the hand as they wandered around, eventually stopping near the crew. Fiona paused to watch two actors in a fight scene. She suddenly felt a strange sense of vulnerability, especially noticing the actress using a stunt double. Fiona turned to leave.
"Not your cup of tea?" Jackson asked, catching her reaction. Fiona shook her head, pointing at the stunt double. "Their acting seems so fake."
Just as she finished speaking, a sharp voice cut through the air, "Hey, what did you say?!"
It was the second female lead of the film, whose stunt double was in action.
With the set full of people too cautious to speak up, Fiona's blunt comment was a shocker. Was she really suggesting the actress do her own stunts and risk looking silly?
But when the actress noticed Jackson by Fiona's side, she froze, her thoughts racing. This guy was drop-dead gorgeous!
Who was he?
Seeing Jackson holding Fiona's hand, she guessed they might be siblings, considering the age difference.
The actress quickly switched gears, flashing a warm smile as she
approached Fiona and took her
hand. "Hey there, little sis. I didomet
mean it like that. Don't worry about
it. I'm just scared of heights, and if something went wrong, the whole shoot would have to stop?"
Fiona wasn't a fan of strangers getting too familiar. She calmly
pulled her hand back, gave the net
woman a look, and stayed silent.
If she was really afraid of heights, she shouldn't have taken the role, Fiona thought. She didn't buy the excuses.
Just then, a commotion erupted behind them. A guy in a black fantasy outfit, hair tied back, was walking over.
It was Allen!
With his naturally handsome features and easygoing vibe, Allen was a standout both on and off camera.
"Gotta hand it to him, Allen's just as charming off-screen as he is on. What a looker!"
"Seriously! His looks are unbeatable, can't get enough."
"Check it out, Allen's heading over there, and there's another guy. He might be even more handsome!"
"I see him! Who's that young girl with him? She's so pretty!"
Among the extras and small-part actors playing maids or minor roles, whispers buzzed around. Everyone kept their voices low, aware that their livelihood depended on this production. Upsetting the wrong person could be career-ending, leaving them with nothing.
