Master of his heart (Brielle and Max)

Chapter 1394

"Hey son, pull over for a sec, will ya? Got something I need to handle right now. I know how to get to Unicorn Corp., so I'll catch up with you later."

Mason didn't care what he was up to. These days, Everett was staying at his mom's place, living a life so simple it was almost dull.

Mason, on the other hand, was swamped. Barely had a moment to breathe, let alone catch up with Everett.

He pulled the car over to the curb, and as soon as Everett got out, Mason sped away.

Everett waited until Mason was out of sight before striding off, his face growing darker with each step.

"Victoria!"novelbin

Victoria, stumbling through the crowd, felt her throat tighten at the sound of that familiar voice. She almost turned around instantly, only to be met with a slap across the face. Clutching her cheek, she stared back defiantly.

"Everett, I finally found you. Isn't that great? Let's never be apart again, okay?"

Everett couldn't believe his eyes. After everything he'd done to humiliate her, why would she follow him all the way to North America?

Was she completely shameless?

"Victoria! Seriously, are you that desperate? Did you come here just to wreck my life? Get lost! Take your cheap daughter and beat it!"

Tears streamed down Victoria's face the moment she saw him. Years of enduring his abuse had numbed her to the pain. Instead, finding him brought her a twisted sense of joy.

She moved to embrace him, only to be roughly pushed away in disgust.

"Get lost, you tramp!"

Victoria hit the ground, tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Everett, please, don't leave me. I'm begging you. Can't we just start over?"

If there weren't so many people around, Everett would've kicked her right then and there, just like he wanted to do with Tiffanie, that other disgrace of a woman. Mother and daughter, two peas in a pod.

Just thinking about all those years

he spent suffocating under the

Dorsey family's thumb, and now. here was this snitch, groveling at his feet it gave him a twisted sense of satisfaction. en

He smirked and walked away.

Victoria scrambled to her feet, pleading as she followed him.

"Everett, please, I can't live without you."

It was clear to anyone watching that Victoria was far from okay. Trapped in a nightmare named Everett, she had lost all sense of herself outside of him. She was a woman unhinged, and Everett was her poison and cure roffed into one.

Everett kept walking until they reached a deserted street corner. Seeing Victoria still on his heels, he kicked her down. Victoria crumpled to the ground, clutching her stomach in agony.

Everett had been itching to do this for a while. He kicked her again and again, each blow releasing a torrent of pent-up frustration. Forget the Dorsey family, forget Michael-all those bastards could drop dead for all he cared. "Die, you wretch!"

Who would have thought that the once celebrated piano prince, serenading audiences under the moonlit sky, could turn so vile?

His face twisted in malice, resentment, and a sick sense of triumph as he kicked Victoria over and over, not holding back in the slightest.

Victoria's cries of pain filled the air,

but rather than stopping, Everett felt a rush of excitement, reminiscent of those times at the Dorsey estate

when he and Victoria would gang up on Tiffanie.

It was the only joy he had found in the suffocating embrace of the Dorsey family, a brief respite from feeling like his fate was entirely in their hands.

"Please, Everett, stop... it hurts so much."

Victoria was sprawled on the ground, unable to move, her face smeared with blood.

Everett paused, noticing the blood on his shoes, and raised an eyebrow.

He couldn't let Mason see him like this.
