Chapter 486 The USB Drive Ambrose Gave Her Before He Died
"Jerk Dad!"
The call was from Elisa. As soon as Alaric picked up, he heard Elisa's voice, "You liar!"
"Didn't you say that once you got better, you wouldn't make us stay at school?" Elisa angrily questioned.
For the past few days, Caspian, Harry, and Elisa had been waiting for Alaric to pick them up. However, they were arranged to stay at school again.
Moreover, the dormitory building was being renovated, and the three of them were given special arrangements. Now they were the only ones in the entire school staying in the dorms.
Alaric felt genuinely sorry about this and apologized, "Sorry, sweetheart, your mom and I have been really busy lately..."
"If you're so busy now, how did you manage to find time to have the three of us?" Harry sharply asked. "You had time to have kids back then, but now you're too busy to take care of us? You are so irresponsible!"
Whenever Harry spoke, he often left Alaric speechless.
"Daddy, are you and Mommy fighting again?" Caspian asked.
"No," Alaric could only deny, "Your mom and I are doing just fine."
"Then you are fighting," Harry said confidently. "Why do you keep fighting? Aren't you tired?"
"Daddy, you guys aren't really getting a divorce, are you?" Caspian was genuinely scared.noveldrama
Alaric said, "Nonsense! Don't worry, even if the world ends, we won't get divorced." Despite the arguments and anger, Alaric had never seriously considered divorce.
"You better not!" Harry warned sternly. "Let me tell you seriously, we three have discussed it. If you two really get divorced, none of us will stay with either of you. We'll let you both grow old alone!"
Harry continued, "Besides, there's something very important to tell you. Our birthday is in just over twenty days. Do you remember?"
Alaric had indeed forgotten; there had been too much going on lately.
"Forgot, didn't you?" Elisa was really hurt and angry. "We can't even complain anymore. When you have a fight, we have to mediate. But you can't even remember our birthday. It's really disappointing!"
"I didn't forget," Alaric had to save face. "How could I forget your birthday? However you want to celebrate, Daddy will make it happen, okay?"
Previously, he had celebrated Caspian's birthday with Orion. Back then, Caspian was never happy on his birthdays.
This time, it was their first birthday together, and it had to be grand.
"Alright, we'll think about it, and you think about it too," Elisa said. "Last time, you gave Mommy such a romantic birthday surprise. We want one too!"
Alaric agreed, "Alright, definitely!"
"Okay then, since your attitude is good, we'll stay at school for now. Daddy, don't fight with Mommy anymore, got it?" Harry reminded.
Alaric nodded. "Got it."
After hanging up, Alaric felt a bit better. It was good to have Caspian, Harry, and Elisa around.
He then turned off his phone. He was really tired and had a headache, so he just wanted to sleep undisturbed.

After Alaric's call, Cormac and Rowena immediately went to the hospital.
Stellan really didn't want to see anyone now because she was in a terrible state. Her eyes were red from crying, and she hadn't yet recovered from the fear, looking particularly disheveled.
"Cormac, Rowena, why are you here?" Stellan's voice was hoarse.
"How could we not come as something this big happened,?" Rowena looked at Stellan with concern and asked, "Were you scared?"
Seeing this, Cormac quickly said, "You two talk; I'll wait outside."
Just as Cormac was about to leave, he suddenly thought of something and asked, "By the way, Galatea, how are you feeling? If you're okay, why not go home first?"
"Okay," Stellan really didn't want to stay in the hospital.
"Alright, I'll handle the discharge paperwork. You two talk." Cormac said and left.
Stellan didn't have the energy to talk, so she just shook her head at Rowena's question. Then Rowena didn't ask further, went over, hugged her, and gently patted her shoulder without saying a word.
After Cormac finished the discharge procedures, he and Rowena took Stellan back to The Knight Mansion.
Knowing that Alaric wouldn't be back tonight, Cormac said to Rowena, "Rowena, you stay with Galatea tonight. I'll sleep in the guest room."
"Okay." After Rowena responded, she accompanied Stellan to the bedroom.
It was already past ten at night. Rowena carefully asked, "Where's Mr. Knight? He's not coming back tonight?"
Stellan had no idea where Alaric went, but perhaps it was for the best that he didn't come back tonight, thus avoiding another argument between them.
"I don't know," Stellan answered honestly.
Rowena asked, "Aren't you going to call and ask?"
Stellan shook her head. Since he wasn't coming back, calling him would be pointless. He was probably still angry.
"If you don't want to call, then we won't. Mr. Knight is a grown man; he can take care of himself. It's late; let's rest, okay?" Rowena suggested.
Stellan said, "Rowena, you go to sleep first. I'll take a bath."
Since the incident, she had not bathed; she still felt as if the scent of Ambrose's blood lingered on her skin.
Rowena said, "Okay, I'll wait for you."
"No need to wait. You're pregnant; you shouldn't stay up late. Go to sleep." Stellan said and left. Rowena could only sigh helplessly.
After Stellan went into the bathroom, she emptied her mind, and lay in the bathtub with her eyes closed.
After soaking for a while, she suddenly remembered something. She quickly got out of the bathroom, wiped herself haphazardly, and took out a USB drive from her clothes pocket.
This USB drive was given to her by Ambrose before he died. She didn't know what was inside. Then she hurried to the study and turned on the computer. The computer in the second-floor study was always used by Alaric; she never used it.
Today, she just walked in because it was nearby. After turning on the computer, she inserted the USB drive. As she clicked to install, a strange icon appeared among the installation files. Stellan clicked on it, and multiple windows popped up. To her surprise, it was real-time surveillance of Far East International and Nexus Innovations.
