My Aloof Sisters Asked for My Forgiveness

Chapter 535

Lord Barbenheim felt as though his heart would shatter.

He never could have imagined that Dustin possessed so many astonishing

identities.

Each title was unmatched in its respective domain and commanded the respect of countless people.

His initial reaction was shock and disbelief.

Dustin was only in his early twenties...

At such a young age, how could he have amassed the experience and endured the struggles for power and survival necessary to attain such positions?

Surely, these roles were not so easy to claim!

But as he reflected on it further, memories of Dustin's enigmatic presence surfaced in his mind. His extraordinary talents and the unexpected treatment he had received from the Dragon Supreme himself were enough to place him as an equal...

Lord Barbenheim could not help but tremble.

Fear overwhelmed him.

Who was this man?

"Take me away!" he ordered his guards in a panicked voice.

The two men immediately pushed his wheelchair and rushed toward the inner sanctum of the Barbenheim Institution.

Dustin remained unhurried and let him flee.

He continued forward at the same steady pace. Anyone who dared to stop him was dealt with swiftly by his Hell Guards. None could get close to him.

Lord Barbenheim's guards pushed him through a concealed mechanism and entered a hidden passage beneath the institution.

This passage led to the treasure vault of the institution, where he often used to communicate with the Divine Hall.

"Is he following us?" Lord Barbenheim asked urgently.

"Your Highness, it doesn't seem so. It looks like he's letting us run," one of the guards said after glancing behind.

"Faster!" Lord Barbenheim ordered.

They soon reached the end of the tunnel where the treasure vault lay.

The vault's door was made of a special stone. Each panel weighed over a thousand pounds. It was thick, heavy, and virtually impenetrable.

Once the three entered the vault, they activated the mechanism to seal the stone door shut. It finally allowed them a moment to breathe.

"The door was designed by the most renowned engineer. Even a Transcendent Martial King can't break through. We should be safe for now. The resources in this vault can sustain us for at least six months," Lord Barbenheim said.

"Your Highness, should hide here until Dustin leaves?" one of the guards asked.

"Hiding in the vault is not a long-term solution. We have to deal with him," Lord Barbenheim said grimly with a dark face.

He made a decision after a moment of silence.

"Dustin is far too dangerous. At this point, only one person in the entire Lovellia

can save me.

"If I surrender all my military authority and relinquish the Barbenheim Institution's territories

and privileges, he might

intervene..."

Having decided, Lord Barbenheim turned to the large screen behind him.

"Use this encrypted code to contact the Lovellia Defense Ministry..." He handed a slip of paper to one of the guards.

The guard took it solemnly and hurried to operate the console.

Bam!

Suddenly, a deafening blast echoed through the vault as the stone door absorbed

a powerful blow. It caused the entire vault to tremble.

Lord Barbenheim and the guards exchanged fearful glances.

"Your Highness, can this door really withstand an attack from a Martial King?" a guard asked with a trembling voice.noveldrama

"That was a guarantee from the master engineer himself. He

wouldn't lie to me!" Lord Barbenheim snapped as if trying to convince

himself. nove

Bam!

A second strike landed, and the tremors grew more violent.

Lord Barbenheim's face turned pale as his confidence wavered.

Surely, the door would hold...

Crash!

The third strike obliterated the door.

The massive stone panels shattered and collapsed into the vault. It sent debris flying in all directions.

Dustin and Tyler stood at the entrance. Dustin's cold and indifferent gaze locked onto Lord Barbenheim.

Terror seized Lord Barbenheim. He nearly fell out of his wheelchair.

At that moment, the screen behind him flickered to life as it connected to Lovellia's highest council.

On the screen appeared a young

man with sharp and chiseled features. His face was stern. He was dressed in a yellow ceremonial robe and sat atop a golden throne.
