No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Chapter 455

Noelle found it laughable to think giving Xenia Hopeful Hearts Foundation was meant to serve as her lesson.

She sneered, "You could've compensated Xenia in so many ways, but you gave her Hopeful Hearts Foundation on purpose. That was created by Mom and Dad; what gives you the right to give it to an outsider?"

"Because Sean died saving our parents. She's been well-behaved all these years and suffered enough. Such compensation is only fair."

"How are you so sure Sean did die saving them?" Noelle scoffed.

"Of course, I'm sure. I've investigated countless times. You're just trying to avoid owning that debt, and that's why you keep doubting the truth. Haven't you had enough, Noelle?"

Hearing Noelle's angry voice improved Donovan's mood. She'd acted smug and indifferent for so long, forcing the Liddell family into chaos.

Lucas' gaming team investment had gone up in flames, and they were now facing huge financial losses. If Blake was blacklisted from the entertainment industry, that would mean worse compensation.

Donovan would never allow the business empire he'd built over the years to suffer any further, and he knew Noelle was concerned about the foundation.

Noelle gritted her teeth. "So you did that on purpose?"

"That's right. Even if it was on purpose, so what? You've severed ties with the Liddells, and everything we own has nothing to do with you anymore."

Donovan refused to believe he couldn't control Noelle. Then, he continued, "If you keep causing trouble and insist on suing Blake, I'll transfer everything Mom and Dad left to Xenia. The Liddells owe her afer all."

"How dare you?" Noelle was livid.

Had Donovan gone insane?

Donovan smirked coldly. "Ha! Why should I care about your wishes since you don't care about the Liddell family's interests? You walked away from the Liddells, so Xenia is now our parents' daughter and the rightful heir."

"Everything they left behind was meant for me! You have no right to give it to her!"

Noelle's eyes burned red with fury. This was exactly what'd happened in her past life, and she'd never give in again.

"It was a verbal promise, and Mom and Dad never wrote a will before they passed. It's useless even if you sue." Donovan added, "Did you think leaving the Liddell family would make everyone beg for your return? Dream on."

Then, he hung up.noveldrama

Noelle stared at her phone as her hands shook with rage. She'd underestimated just how shameless Donovan could be to pull such disgusting moves just to force her to surrender.

If Xenia continued thriving in the Liddell family, the mastermind behind the car accident would never reveal themselves.

Taking a deep breath, Noelle knew she needed a plan. She wouldn't allow Xenia to steal what her parents had left her, and she'd never allow the real culprits to get away with it.

She stormed into the lecture hall, fuming. Her mind was a mess, and she needed to think carefully.

First, she had to consult a lawyer to determine whether things were as hopeless as Donovan claimed. She barely paid attention to the entire lecture When the class ended, she headed straight to the training base to focus on practice.

As she stepped in, she saw Samantha and a stunning woman with a great figure. Noelle recognized her from the hospital after the car accident. She seemed acquainted with Alfred and the others.

Samatha arrogantly lifted her chin. "She's here, Laura."

Laura approached Noelle with a friendly smile and extended her hand. "Hello, it's nice to meet you again. Let me introduce myself; I'm Samantha's sister."

Noelle's eyes flickered with surprise to learn she was Samantha's sister. Still, she reached out and shook her hand. "What a coincidence."

"I recently learned about your misunderstandings with Samantha, and I'm here today to talk things over. Since you're acquainted with Alfred and the others, we're O practically friends, aren't we?"

Noelle wasn't about to accept that label.
