No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Noelle watched Xenia's overly sincere performance, and every warning bell in her body went off. Judging from Xenia's exaggerated crying, she knew that there must be something fishy going on. What trick could Xenia be trying to pull now?

A crowd had gathered, and some started recording with their phones.

Xenia's eyes were red from all the crying. "Noelle, if you'd agree to visit Frank in the hospital, I'd kneel and beg you."

Noelle's lips curved into a smile. Without hesitation, she grabbed Xenia's hand and put on a concerned expression. "What are you kneeling for? You're wasting time! Hurry up and get to the hospital!"

Xenia froze and wondered if she'd misheard.

It shocked her that Noelle agreed to visit Frank in the hospital. Based on the former's personality, she never would've agreed!

Certain that Noelle would refuse, Xenia had planned the entire scene, but the former didn't fall for it.

Noelle packed her bag and tugged forcefully at Xenia's arm. "Come on. Let's not waste more time."

Xenia had no choice but to grit her teeth and follow Noelle out of class.

As they walked across the field, Xenia asked, "Don't you usually hate meeting the Liddells? Why are you suddenly so worried about Frank?"

Noelle turned around with a deep gaze and replied, "You think I'd have no idea what you're trying to do? You planned this whole scheming act, but you were too obvious."

"I don't know what you're talking about. I was just passing on a message." Xenia gritted her teeth, furious at being exposed.

Damn it. She'd arranged for someone to record today's scene, but it was all for nothing now.

Noelle scoffed. "Let's go then. Grab a cab."

Xenia had no choice but to

reluctantly book a ride. She wouldn't have bothered to cooperate with Noelle if she didn't have to commit fully to her act. noveldrama

Sean also instructed her to behave well now that she had taken over the

foundation. She had to behave well continuously to reap the benefits.

When they arrived at the hospital, Noelle walked straight into Frank's ward. James seemed surprised to see her. "Why are you here, Ms. Liddell?"

"Xenia kneeled in front of me at school and cried about how Frank was dying and eager to see me one last time. I obviously had to come."

After she spoke, Xenia rushed in and nervously explained, "I didn't mean to curse you, Frank. I just thought seeing Noelle might lift your spirits since you're having surgery soon."

Frank frowned. "Stop making decisions for me without permission."

"I understand. I made you some medicinal congee earlier. Did it make you feel any better?"

She brought up the medicinal congee in front of Noelle just to show off her thoughtfulness, but the latter sneered and couldn't care less.

However, Frank was flushed with anger. He grabbed the bowl of congee and threw it at Xenia. "Get out! Don't ever bring me food again!"

Xenia flinched and was completely shocked. "What's going on, Frank? Did I do something wrong?"

"Get out! Don't make me say it twice!" Frank's face was flushed with fury.

Though Xenia was reluctant to leave, she had no choice but to turn around. As

she left the room, she shot Noelle a smug look.

Frank had a rather awkward expression. "I never thought that her medicinal congee was anything special, Noelle. If you don't trust me, ask James."
