Reborn From Oblivion

Chapter 443

Cameron snapped, "You all deserve to go to hell."

Mrs. Dawson chuckled through her tears, "Remember what you said today. I might deserve it, but your father deserves it even more."

A look of despair, deeper than heartbreak, crossed her still-attractive face. It was as if she was back in her student days, in her prime, when a man willingly stepped into her world of poverty.

Back then, her mom was in the ICU, and there was no money for medical bills. Her boyfriend was just as broke as she was. Desperate, she cried her heart out at the hospital's entrance. Griffin saw her, offered a helping hand, and gave her the warmth she so desperately needed, making her addicted to him like a lifeline.

She fell for him. Hard. But just when their love was at its peak, he dropped the bomb-he was already married.

She had slept with him. As a small-town girl who valued her purity above all, after wrestling with her feelings, she decided to stay with him.

He promised that he and his wife were loveless, and they'd eventually divorce. Hanging onto that promise, she waited, day after day. Then her son was born.

Her kindness and forgiveness turned into greed.

If she couldn't have his love, she'd take his wealth. She wanted it all for her child. That's a mother's love.

Thinking about it all, Mrs. Dawson couldn't stop the tears. She eventually became the person she hated the most.

That one-night stand with her first love was supposed to be a tribute to their lost love. But from that single encounter, she got pregnant with his child.

She always thought the child was part of the Dawson legacy.

Life's a cruel joke, huh?

In the end, Cameron didn't strangle her. His stepmom's tears felt like fire on his hands, filling him with a deep sense of dread. He released her, issuing a stern warning, "I heard you've moved a huge chunk of the Dawson family assets? You've got a week to return it all, or else..."

Cameron knew exactly where to strike. "Or, you might never see your son again."

Mrs. Dawson was genuinely terrified. She stared at Cameron with wide eyes, "You can't harm him. If you do, I'll stop at nothing to ruin everyone in this house with the last name Dawson." en

Her eyes were cold and determined.

Cameron froze. That look in her eyes-it was so much like How could he possibly

His stepmom suddenly pleaded, "Cameron, I can return half of the assets, but I have one request. I want to see Nellie."

Cameron stopped dead. "Nellie? Why do you want to see her?"

His stepmom murmured, "You wouldn't understand."novelbin

Cameron hesitated for a moment, then walked away.

Marian walked with Cameron,

grinning from ear to ear, "It takes Mr. Cameron to get things done. If she's willing to give back half, that's a decent chunk of change. Dawson International can survive a bit longer."

Cameron looked puzzled, "But she wants to see Nellie?"

The Nellie who used to be so accommodating was now Nathalie, who despised him. How could he possibly convince her?

She'd rather watch Dawson International fall apart.

Marian smiled, "Just get me Nellie's contact info. I'll find a way to bring her around."
