Chapter 384
This was the age when one's phone was always at hand.
I managed to get hold of the phones belonging to his men, and from the number,
it looked like I had all of them. The kind of power I wielded and what I had just done was now crystal clear.
For the first time, fear was evident in Marcus' eyes. "W-Who are you?"
I smiled and said, "It doesn't matter who I am. Just do what I tell you. Now, kneel."
Marcus swallowed hard, still holding on to a glimmer of hope. He glanced around, trying to find any sign that I was just bluffing in an attempt to scare him. However, he found nothing.
My patience had already worn thin, so I gave Quintus a signal.
Quintus was now well-experienced, having handled so many people. He gently kicked Marcus behind the knee, causing the latter to fall to his knees immediately.
Marcus' head hit the floor with a thud, causing him to wince in pain.
"Crack his skull," I ordered.
Quintus wasted no time. He grabbed the wooden sculpture he was now familiar with and delivered a heavy blow to Marcus' head. Marcus was stunned, clutching his head and staring at me, unable to speak.
"Bring me 30 thousand dollars, and you can take your men's phones and get lost. As long as you don't show up in front of me again, I won't cause you any trouble," I remarked.
Of course, he'd still have to deal with Mason after leaving, but that was between them and not my concern.
"However, if you're still stubborn and continue to appear in front of me to annoy me, I won't hesitate to ruin you completely," I warned.
Marcus was still in a state of fear and confusion. "30 thousand dollars? What 30 thousand dollars?"
I explained slowly, "Your men have already contributed ten thousand dollars as compensation. As the leader or the one responsible, asking for 30 thousand from you is more than fair. If you keep complaining, I'll make you pay 300 thousand!"
After hearing the whole story, Marcus was completely silenced.
Even his dozen or so underlings couldn't do anything to me. If he dared to challenge me, it would be like courting death.
He was an experienced man,
someone who had seen it all. It was impossible for him not to assess the situation. After a moment of hesitation, he finally took out his phone and obediently transferred 30 thousand dollars to the young lady.
The young lady smiled broadly, with no trace of anger left.
"Alright. You can take the phones and get out of here! Even if you're just passing by, you must stay at leone mile from this apartment building. Got it?" I asked.
"Y-Yes. I got it." Blood was dripping from his head, but he didn't bother to wipe it.
He stood up and picked up those phones. Before leaving, he turned back to look
at me. "Would you mind telling me your last name?"
I responded coldly, "White."
"White..." He lowered his head, silently pondering momentarily, and then suddenly looked up. "The one who caused a scene at The Dragonshade Society-"
Before he could finish, I shot him a warning glance.
He immediately swallowed the rest
of his words. He must have figured it out by now that I was the one who пож had caused the uproar at The Dragonshade Society event and kicked out the head of The Dragonshade Society.
"I messed with the wrong person. I deserved it." With that, Marcus resolutely left.noveldrama
After he walked out, Quintus turned and walked to the door, thoughtfully closing it for me.
Thoughtful, my foot!
It wasn't like I planned to do anything with that young lady. Quintus was being overly considerate.
The young lady shyly and nervously looked at me. "I haven't properly thanked you yet. By the way, what's your name?"
What do you think?
