Nova stood and turned to the servants.

“Until he is allowed to rise, do not give him any food or water.”

“Yes, ma’am,” the servants replied.

Hoyt’s fists clenched at his sides, trembling with restrained frustration.

As Nova began to walk away, he called out,

“Mom, I swear I’ll change! Really, I will!”

“I believe you will.” Nova paused mid-step as if a thought had just struck her. Her eyes narrowed slightly, and she asked,

“I recall you used to be on good terms with Colton’s new wife, didn’t you? Melany?”

Hoyt’s fingers tightened instinctively. His mother had no idea that he and Melany had once been intimate, and he intended to keep it that way. He swallowed hard and replied,

“Yes. She hates Allison as much as I do.”

Nova didn’t probe further, seemingly satisfied with his answer. A calculating glint appeared in her eyes.

“Good. Melany will be very useful to us.”

“The task your father assigned you today — Kellan and Allison will undoubtedly get involved.”

Nova was sure about this. From what she knew, Kellan and Allison had been keeping tabs on Fabian for quite some time. It was clear that they had been planning to win him over for a while.

“They’ll compete with you,” Nova continued while rubbing her wrist absentmindedly.

“When that happens, you must let Melany step forward and deal with them in public. Don’t make the mistake of taking the lead yourself again.”

After speaking, Nova glanced at the servant, who promptly retrieved an envelope from the entrance table. She took it, then handed the invitation letter to Hoyt.

“This invitation is something that only the influence of the Lloyd family can secure. Right now, only a select few are eligible to receive one.” If everything went as expected, Kellan would undoubtedly have one as well.

Nova narrowed her eyes, and a smirk tugged at the corner of her lips.

“Find a way to deliver this invitation to Melany. Make sure she sabotages the gifts that Allison and Kellan have prepared for Fabian.” Manipulating others to accomplish one’s goals is always the most effective approach.

Nova’s plan was clear. She wanted to make sure Allison and Kellan were not only disqualified from participating but humiliated in front of Ontdale’s elite.
