Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1305

Cooper shook his head. "No way my brother-in-law would dare."

Just then, his phone rang. Cooper glanced at the caller ID, hiccupped, and answered. "Yeah? What do you want? Can't you give it a rest?"

Madison Irvin shot a look at her son. That tone... something didn't sound quite right.

A woman's voice came through, sharp and a little worried. "Are you drinking?" Cooper slouched in his chair. "Say it already!"

A few minutes later, everyone drifted back in, and the dining room buzzed with laughter and conversation again.

Mia noticed the rosy cheeks around the table. "Babe, how much did our dads end up drinking?" She nodded toward her brother. "Look, Cooper's already wasted."

Cooper's cheeks were flushed, and he was slumped over, head in hand, phone facedown on the table. "Squirt!" he called out.

The little guy knew exactly who Cooper meant. He puffed up his chest and, with a pout, called back in his cutest voice, "Cooper~"

Cooper staggered to his feet, swayed a bit, then shuffled over to his sister. "Sweetie, come with your uncle."

Sensing danger, Sweetie clung tighter to his mom's neck and shook his head furiously. No way was he letting his wobbly uncle pick him up.

Andre hurried over to steady his brother-in-law before he toppled.

Before anyone realized, it was already eleven.

Andre and Chad had had a few drinks, but kept it together, so the two of them helped the older folks home, escorting each family, one by one.

When Leo spotted Anya, he made his way over, but Anya darted to her parents, linking arms with both. She stuck her tongue out at Leo, making it clear she wasn't leaving with him tonight.

Leo glanced at the thoroughly drunk Mr. Calder, smiled, and didn't say a word.

Later, Andre drove his in-laws back to their villa.

Mia stayed in the dining room with the kids, keeping an eye on everyone.

In the Irvin family, Cooper was easily the drunkest. Everyone had been curious about his drinking skills and pushed him tonight-he finally overdid it.

Usually, nobody dared challenge Cooper to drink this much in public, so he'd never really found his limit. It was only at home, surrounded by family, that he let himself get this drunk.

Andre, business mogul or not, rolled up his sleeves and helped his brother-in-law to bed, tucking him in.

"Bro... be careful of the Dark Web..." Cooper mumbled.

Andre paused. "What about the Dark Web?"

Cooper pressed his hand to his forehead, groaning. "They're casting a net... looking for Maja..."

Andre sat down on the edge of the bed, frowning. "Cooper, how do you know this?"

But Cooper was already fast asleep.

Andre watched him for a while, made sure the covers were snug, and quietly slipped out.

Meanwhile, Leo helped his future in-laws back to the Calder villa.

Anya held her baby brother while Mrs. Calder fussed over her husband, helping

him out of his shoes and tucking him in.

Leo crept up behind Anya and whispered, "Come with me?"

"I need to take care of my dad," Anya replied.

Leo lowered his voice. "Your mom's here. Why are you sticking around?"noveldrama

Anya hugged her little brother tighter. "Then I'll look after my brother."

Leo looked at the tiny bundle in her arms. "He's got nannies. He doesn't need his big sis tonight."

Anya grinned. "Chad, if I go with you tonight, do you think my dad will hunt you down tomorrow?"

Leo went quiet.

In the end, Anya didn't leave with Leo. Honestly, Leo realized he might've let his future father-in-law drink a bit too much-Mr. Calder was passed out, and Mrs. Calder barely left his side.

So, Anya stayed home, helping out with her little brother.
