Chapter 786
The Shadow Alliance's guards were just a bunch of weaklings to Yvette. However, they weren't so weak that she could capture them so easily.
The entrance to such a crucial area as the dock was guarded way too loosely- this was clearly a trap!
Her expression grew colder. "Hurry, let's go!"
Miguel was confused. They were moments away from entering the dock and blowing it up, yet now she wanted them to retreat... Still, he followed her orders without question, promptly retreating behind her.
From atop a high building, a noble-looking man with an upright posture observed everything.
"Mr. Quinn, it looks like they've figured out our plan," Samuel reported cautiously. The fool was sharper than he'd expected...
Wilson wore a golden mask that concealed his devilishly handsome face, adding an air of mystery and danger. His thin lips curled into a cold smile, and the pressure around him grew heavy, causing chills to anyone nearby.
"After them. Capture him alive."
That fool had destroyed his arms factory and casino. Letting him die easily would be going easy on him.
"Yes, Mr. Quinn!"
"Damn it!!" Miguel cursed loudly as a large number of guards suddenly appeared behind them, his eyes wide with shock. "The Shadow Alliance actually set up an ambush! How despicable!"
With so many men lying in wait, if they'd taken even one step forward into the dock, their bodies would've been riddled with bullets!
With a loud bang, a bullet flew toward them. If Yvette hadn't yanked Miguel aside in time, his head would've been pierced by the shot.
"Agh!" Miguel dodged the bullet to his head, but his arm got hit. The severe pain drained his face of color, and the car began to slow down.
Seeing the pursuing cars about to catch up, Yvette's eyes turned icy cold as she said in a frosty tone, "Move over. I'll drive."
"Yes, Ms. Murray." Enduring the pain in his arm, Miguel quickly jumped into the passenger seat, making space for her.
Yvette gripped the steering wheel with both hands, floored the accelerator, and performed a sharp drift that sent the car speeding away.
The speed nearly threw Miguel out of his seat, and he scrambled to buckle his seatbelt with trembling hands.
Damn! Yvette wasn't driving; she was practically flying!
Soon, Yvette left the Shadow Alliance guards far behind, their car almost out of sight.
"You won't catch up to them." Wilson waved away Samuel, who was preparing to drive. His tone was indifferent. "Just try to keep up."
With that, Wilson got into the car, his devilishly handsome face cold. The sooner he dealt with this fool, the sooner he could return to see Yvette back home!
"Yes, Mr. Quinn!"
...
Two cars raced through the winding mountain valley, one chasing the other closely.
As she watched the car in hot pursuit through the rearview mirror, Yvette's eyes gleamed murderously.
The Shadow Alliance guards would never have been able to keep up with her. Only that idiotic boss of the Shadow Alliance could manage to do so!
Miguel was weak from blood loss, yet he said decisively, "Ms. Murray, let me lure them away. You can jump out of the car and escape!"noveldrama
Yvette's life was far more important than his...
"Shut up," Yvette snapped coldly, her expression icy. "I'll get us both out of Yenosha safely."
She had already shaken off the
Shadow Alliance guards, and it would take them a while to catch up. Now, if she could just eliminate the
Shadow Alliance's dumb boss, they'd be able to escape Yenosha smoothly. sŵnovel
With this thought, Yvette made her move without hesitation. She suddenly swerved the car, floored the gas pedal, and charged toward the car behind her.
Today, either Shadow Alliance's boss would die, or she would!
Wilson hadn't expected her to act so recklessly; it was like a suicide mission.
His eyes narrowed dangerously as he quickly maneuvered the car to avoid the collision. But with the narrow mountain valley, there was no way to avoid it completely he had to turn the wheel and crash into the mountainside.
For the first time, he looked a mess!
As he held his bleeding forehead, Wilson's expression turned vicious. A menacing
cold enveloped him, and the temperature around him plummeted sharply.
Fine. Once he captured the fool, he would make sure he experienced a fate worse than death!
Wilson angrily flung open the car door with a loud bang, only to feel the cold press of a gun against the back of his head.
Yvette's gaze was icy as she stared at his back, her voice even colder. "Go to
hell."
Upon hearing this voice, Wilson's tall, upright body tensed. Why did this voice sound a bit like Yvette?
No, he must be imagining things. Yvette was currently attending the International Medical Congress' competition. There was no way she'd be here...
And this was clearly a man's voice, just similar in tone to Yvette's.
Before Wilson could think it through, he heard the trigger being pulled. His gaze darkened, his handsome face filled with cold intent, and he quickly swung his fist.
Yvette felt a sharp pain in her arm, and the next second, the gun was knocked from her hand.
Damn! Her expression changed, and she cursed under her breath. Without missing a beat, she aimed a kick at the man's lower abdomen with all her strength.
She put no restraint in that kick; it was lethal. Had Wilson not dodged quickly, it would have rendered him... unfit for future "pleasures".
What do you think?
