Talented Heiress: A Rose With Thorns

Chapter 879

In the bathroom, Yvette stepped out of the bathtub. Her long, slender legs carried her gracefully as she wrapped herself in a bathrobe and picked up a towel to dry her slightly damp hair.

Just as she was about to leave the bathroom, a sudden wave of dizziness hit her. It felt as though all the strength had drained from her body, leaving her unsteady on her feet. She lost control and fell, the loud thud echoing in the room.

"Yvie..."

Upon hearing the noise from the bathroom, Wilson's expression changed, and he rushed in as quickly as he could.

When he saw Yvette sprawled on the floor, he froze for a moment, his pupils constricting. He quickly stepped forward and helped her up.

Seeing the deep worry etched on his handsome face, Yvette felt a warmth in her heart. She tried to sound casual. "Don't worry, I'm fine. Just lost my balance for a second and slipped."

In truth, it wasn't as trivial as she made it seem.

She'd taken quite a fall, and all her strength had mysteriously vanished just moments ago, only to now return to normal. It was strange, but she kept it to herself to avoid worrying Wilson.

Lost her balance?

Wilson narrowed his deep, dark eyes, clearly unconvinced by her explanation.

With how coordinated she was, how could she accidentally fall like this, and so severely?

"Ahh..."

A slight movement sent a sharp pain through Yvette, and she couldn't help but frown.

"Don't move." Seeing the large bruise on her leg, Wilson clenched his jaw, his eyes filled with an almost overflowing concern. "I'll carry you out first."

As he spoke, she felt his arm tighten around her waist. In the next moment, he scooped her up in a bridal carry and quickly walked her out of the bathroom.

He had clearly just come back from another room after a shower. His dark hair was still damp, with

droplets falling. But he ignored in et

completely, moving swiftly to find

some ointment and applying it to her bruises with intense focus.

Watching him, Yvette gently bit her lip, a sweet warmth blossoming in her heart.

Wilson's movements werenoveldrama

exceptionally gentle as he applied

the ointment, careful not to hurt her. At the same time, he looked at her with a rare serious expression, brow furrowed.

"Baby, be honest with me. What really happened—"

Before he could finish, Yvette's fair arms looped around his neck, and her soft,

rosy lips pressed against his, silencing him completely.

She would tell him once she figured out the cause of her sudden physical

weakness. Telling him now would only worry him for no reason.

Wilson was silent. Although he knew this was just her way to distract him, he couldn't help but fall for it.

After a long while, he reluctantly let her go. He took a deep breath, suppressing the desire bubbling within him.

His large hand gripped her slender waist as he spoke hoarsely. "Baby, do you know what happens when you provoke me?"

"I do." Yvette nodded, blinking her beautiful eyes.

It just meant a day of sore legs and an aching waist, didn't it?

This time, she was experienced-it shouldn't be as unbearable as before...

Wilson let out a soft laugh,

exasperated and amused by her. He tightened his grip on her waist, his voice deep and hoarse. "You're quite brave! Now, tell me exactly what happened that left you like this."

Seeing him bring up the topic again, Yvette leaned forward and kissed him once

more.

Wilson could no longer contain the desire raging inside him, his usually cold and restrained gaze now tinged with dark, smoldering intensity.

"Baby, you brought this on yourself..."
