The CEO’s Hidden Love Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires

Chapter 1681

Back home, Aurora felt a wave of relief wash over her after hearing the lowdown from her mom.

"I knew I was right! Felicity must be hiding something. It's not because she doesn't love my brother!"

Being a woman herself, she could read the look in Felicity's eyes.

If you don't love someone, your gaze would be filled with rejection.

"Yeah, your dad and I are planning to come back," Dorothy said in her soft voice. "Abigail, how have you been feeling these past few days? Still having trouble sleeping?"

In the late stages of pregnancy, Aurora often woke up in the middle of the night due to her baby kicking.

Her sleep was light to begin with, and now it was even harder to get a good night's rest.

"I'm fine, really. Don't worry about me. Being a mom means going through all this!" Aurora chuckled. "Craig's shipping company landed a big partnership recently, so I've been telling him to focus on that instead of sticking around with me. We've got a nanny at home, so I'm good."

"But that's not how it should be! Craig needs to be with you during this time," Dorothy immediately responded. "Tell you what, your dad and I will check out flight tickets right away!"noveldrama

To Dorothy, childbirth was akin to walking through the valley of the shadow of death.

She wasn't taking any chances.

"Mom, let my brother sort things out with Felicity first. It's better than him wandering around like a lost soul."

"Your dad and I have already dug out the truth for him. The rest is up to him now. If even that doesn't win Felicity over, then it's simply her personal choice."

"I have a feeling they'll make it work."

"Never mind about them for now! Get Craig to come back first. Once your dad and I are there, he can get back to his business!"

Dorothy had had a difficult delivery with Abigail and Langston.

So, the thought of childbirth filled her with dread!

If it weren't for Karen and Kenneth Nelson's support, dragging the best obstetrician to the hospital to assist, who knows if her children would be here today!

"Mom, I'm really okay!"

"Just do as I say, get Craig to come back! No matter how busy he is, he can spare a day. Your dad and I will be back soon." "...Alright."

After hanging up, Aurora hesitated for a moment before calling Craig.

It wasn't that she wanted to disrupt his work or have him come back. She just wanted to hear his voice.

The phone rang twice before someone picked up, but it wasn't Craig's voice on the other end. "Hello?"

"Where's Craig?" Aurora's brows furrowed as she asked coldly, "Why do you have his phone?" "Craig's here, passed out drunk from drinking with my dad. He's resting at my place."

That voice sounded familiar.

It seemed to be Magnolia, the daughter of the owner of the shipping depot they worked with.

"Do you need something? I can tell him when he wakes up."

"No need! I'll come pick him up myself."

Magnolia laughed, "Sure, come over. I don't know how Craig puts up with such an unreasonable woman. He wasjust drinking for work, and you're accusing him!"

"This is between me and my husband. It's none of your business!"

"Oh, please. Do you know, while drinking with my dad, Craig openly admitted he married you out of no choice, to avoid stirring trouble with the Lopez family, not because he loves you!"
