By the time he ran out the door, the light was on.

“Surprise!”

With a bang, the tapes leapt into the air. The elevator was blocked with strangely dressed people, and two little pumpkin-headed boys were standing in the middle of the crowd.

Hayden shouted first, then recognized the voice.

“Noah? Stella?”

One of the two pumpkin-headed boys, who was shorter than the one on the right, immediately removed his pumpkin head.
