Chapter 671 The Person Who Doesn't Get Tired
Randall's question left Susan stunned.
She stared blankly at Randall, not understanding what he meant. It seemed like she had guessed it, but it also seemed like she was just wildly speculating.
"Randall..."
Randall said, "It's getting late, we have class tomorrow, go to bed early."
After speaking, he didn't wait for Susan and turned around to leave.
Susan slowly climbed the stairs, deep in thought.
Back in her bedroom, she couldn't sleep.
Susan sat by the window, resting her face in her hands, gazing at the bright moonlight outside.
A warm breeze blew, bringing the fragrance from the yard. The locust flowers were in full bloom, their light scent pleasant.
The dark night was enveloped in tranquility and peace.
Except for a few streetlights in the yard, the bedroom was shrouded in darkness.
In such a comfortable season, even sleeping was comfortable.
But Randall also lay in bed, unable to sleep.
Recalling that day, he and Patrick didn't argue, just had an unpleasant incident.
At first, Patrick deliberately assigned Randall a fixed amount of work every day, making
him get used to and accept the job while secretly observing him.
After a while, Randall's work was error-free and quite standard. Patrick planned to entrust Randall with important responsibilities, letting him take over the position of Secretary-General, and continue to personally mentor Randall.
Unexpectedly, Patrick's plan failed for the first time.
"Patrick, I don't want to take over the Secretary-General's job, I don't think I can handle
it."
Patrick frowned, "This is a company order, you must comply."
"Then I'll resign."
Patrick's cold gaze pressured Randall, who had been educated by him since childhood, "Say that again." Patrick knew Randall's courage better than his parents did.
Randall feared Patrick's aura. The words were on the tip of his tongue, but he swallowed them back, unsure of what to say.
"Be a man and take responsibility." Patrick despised men without a sense of responsibility, "Spending all day with Vera and Molly, have you forgotten you're a man? Can you be like them? Vera has me, Molly has her parents, are you planning to let the Olteran family support you for life?"
Randall remained unmoved, "Then I'll continue with this job."
Patrick retorted, "What about Susan?"
Mentioning Susan's name, Randall fell silent.
"The Morales family has only one child, Susan. You know her better than anyone." Susan had been protected too well since childhood, pure-hearted and soft-natured. She couldn't handle the complexities of the Morales Group in the future. "Susan has two paths: find a talented man to marry into her family; or marry a man who can shield her from the storm."
Randall's breathing became uneven. Patrick's words struck a chord with him, and he clenched his hand slightly.
Although Randall's status in the family wasn't high, externally, he was still the grandson of the Olteran family, which meant he could never marry into another family.
If he wanted to become a man who could shield him from the storm, Randall had to accept the life path Patrick arranged. Taking over the Secretary-General position, getting familiar with all the Olteran Group's industries, and preparing to inherit the Olteran Group. Only then could he become a man who could shield himself from the storm?
"Patrick, this is just your one-sided assumption."
Patrick said, "This is what Ulysses told me personally."
Patrick never lied, Randall knew. Anything Patrick said was true.
"Think about it, I need an answer in three days."
"I can't give you one."

After that, the relationship between Patrick and Randall became tense.
Until today.
Seeing the situation, Vera quickly pulled Patrick away.
That night, Randall closed his eyes, his mind in turmoil, tangled in a knot he couldn't untie.
The next day, Randall got up very early again, skipped breakfast, and went out alone. When Susan woke up and went to knock on Randall's door, Cindy told her, "Randall left early in the morning, don't know where he went."
Susan felt disappointed.
Molly got married and left, Vera went back to her own home, Theodore wasn't home, and even Randall was nowhere to be found.
The Olteran Manor now had only Susan left.
Shawn finally caught a child to play with him, "Susan, come on, I'll play games with
you."
Susan pursed her lips, walked over, and absentmindedly sat next to Shawn. "Shawn, do you know where Randall went?"
Shawn said, "Don't worry about him, as long as he doesn't get lost."
"What if Randall gets lost?"
Shawn didn't care, "So what, if he gets lost, he gets lost. At worst, let Molly and the others find him. Let's play games."noveldrama
Susan held her phone, with no game apps on it. The long wait for downloads, and after downloading, Susan didn't know how to play.
"Shawn, how do you do this?"
"Shawn, what does this button mean?"

"Shawn, this..."
Shawn looked at Susan, who was even more clueless than him, and asked, "Susan, you don't know how to play games?"
Susan honestly nodded, "Never played."
"Randall is so good, he didn't teach you?"
Susan had a sudden idea, "Teach me, Shawn, I'll go find Randall to teach me how to
play games, and come back to play with you tonight."
After speaking, Susan got up, grabbed her bag, and ran out.
Shawn watched as the only person at home also left him, he put down his phone in frustration. There was no one at home to play with him, it was driving him crazy, no one to keep him company.
At this moment, Shawn thought of his filial Molly.
So, Molly, who needed Sebastian to hold her hand to walk with her eyes closed, had
her phone ring. "Huh? Sebastian, why is my dad calling me? I didn't steal his grandson, nor did I go home to annoy him!"
After answering, she found out Shawn missed her and wanted her to come home to play.
Knowing Shawn well, Molly sneered, "I haven't even had a child yet, I'm not qualified to enter your house."
After speaking, Molly hung up the phone and said to Sebastian, "He must be bored out of his mind, that's why he thought of me."
"Very perceptive," Sebastian praised.
Shawn, feeling frustrated, finally ordered, "Prepare the car, we're going to Cherry Villa, I miss my little grandson."
Cherry Villa.
Vera woke up at ten, still in her pajamas, too sleepy to open her eyes. She yawned and
bent over the bed to change Theodore's diaper.
"If your grandpa wasn't bored to death, he wouldn't come to see you."
Theodore held a soft rubber teething toy, playing and drooling.
What do you think?
