The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 211

Did Sheldon actually ask to marry Rachel in Jeffrey's place?

Rachel was horrified by how ridiculous the idea was. She wasn't engaged to Jeffrey, and they weren't even dating. Instead, it was just him relentlessly pursuing her. Yet, Sheldon actually wanted to marry her in Jeffrey's place.

"Are you serious? This makes no sense at all. I have a fiancé, so I can't possibly marry you."

Matthew was taken aback too. All this time, Sheldon was actually after Rachel. He used to think Sheldon was up to something, but it turned out he was just like Jeffrey.

Sheldon pointed at Matthew. "Is he your fiancé? He might seem impressive and intimidating, but he's nothing next to me. Trust me, he doesn't deserve you."

With a cold expression, Rachel spoke firmly, "My marriage is none of your business. We're done talking. Goodbye."

After saying that, Rachel gestured for Matthew to leave with her. Matthew was pleased with how Rachel handled it. She had finally stood up for herself.

With that, Matthew stood up to follow Rachel out of the room.

"Stop right there!" Sheldon suddenly yelled. He continued, "With the influence the Smith family has, the Carter family doesn't stand a chance at all. You should feel honored that I want to marry you, Rachel. It's a blessing for your family. "Don't push your luck. If you walk out of this room, forget about finding the herbs back for Wealthwave Group."

Rachel spun on her heels. "So it was you who took the herbs, Sheldon. Don't overestimate your family. You've broken the rules, and you'll provoke everyone's anger."

A hint of amusement crossed Sheldon's face. "You better think carefully. I have the raw materials your factory needs for the next year. Without these herbs, you can't produce any traditional medicine."

Rachel's face fell. She was already no match for the Smith family, and now Sheldon had the herbs. The Carter family would take a huge hit.

Right then, she was so mad that she started trembling, but she couldn't do anything to Sheldon.

Matthew patted Rachel's back and comforted her. "Don't be upset, Rachel. I've recovered the herbs. We should be glad."

Sheldon sneered. "Did you seriously locate the herbs? Don't be absurd. I checked before coming here, and the herbs are still in the warehouse."

Rachel didn't show any signs of

smiling. When Matthew claimed that

he had found the herbs at this.

critical moment, he must have said it to make her happy, but it was unconvincing.

Realizing Matthew just intended to make her feel better, she swallowed the words she was about to say.

Matthew didn't retort. He just nonchalantly said, "Goldstore Warehouse in the eastern suburbs of Lambda."

"How did you find out?" Sheldon's expression changed drastically. He had been very discreet, but Matthew had actually found where the herbs were kept.

Matthew coldly remarked,

"Goldstore Warehouse belongs to Wealthwave Group now. We were planning to transport the harvested herbs to the warehouse anyway, and you ended up delivering them for us. You've saved us a lot of trouble."

What? Sheldon's face turned livid, his expression twisted in rage. After all the hard work and money he had spent, Sheldon just made things easier for Rachel.

Rachel was even more shocked. Matthew had actually located the herbs, and they were in her company's warehouse. She felt relieved, like those who stumbled upon an oasis when they were on the brink of dying from thirst in the desert.

Rachel cheerfully held Matthew's hand and left. "Let's head to Goldstore Warehouse and check on the herbs. I can't wait anymore." Watching them leave the private room holding hands, his face contorted with fury.

He clenched his teeth and muttered with hatred, "If we weren't at the Opulent Club, you'd have met a horrible death, Matthew."
