The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 214

Matthew nodded. "I mean it. Austin took the money but didn't get the job done. So, he has to give it back."

Rachel felt disappointed. Even though Matthew was competent, he was too candid to understand the politics in the business world. She sighed and remarked, "Forget it. We aren't getting back the money." Matthew confidently said, "Why can't we retrieve it? If you're too busy with work, I'll handle it. I promise we'll get it back."

Rachel was upset. 50 million dollars wasn't a small amount. If she could get it back, she'd have done it. Seeing how confident Matthew was, Rachel decided to let him learn the hard way.

"Alright then. Go for it."

...

In the villa, Austin was fuming with anger. "Sheldon, you bastard! Do you think you can belittle me just because you know some bigwigs? Just wait. I'll make you regret it."

Seeing how furious Austin was, Lance stayed quiet. Then, the doorbell started ringing.

Austin angrily shouted. "I'm not in the mood to see anyone today! I don't care who it is. Even if a big shot shows up, I'm not seeing him. Tell him to get lost!"novelbin

Lance sighed. After learning about what Austin went through at the Opulent Club, he understood how Austin felt.

Despite being a prominent figure in the medical field, Austin was actually kicked out. His dignity was trampled, and his reputation was ruined. With the illness added into the picture, Austin was already at his wit's end. Lance made his way to the gate, feeling sorry for the visitor's unfortunate timing.

Upon reaching the gate, Lance spotted Matthew. It hit him suddenly that Matthew was with Rachel when she came to give them the money.

"Do you need something?"

Matthew cut to the chase. "I want to see Austin."

Even Rachel didn't address Austin by his name and addressed him as Mr. Stanford Senior, but Matthew actually called Austin by his name!

With a look of contempt, Lance coldly said, "Dad is in a bad mood and isn't seeing any visitors."

Matthew couldn't care less about that and stated, "I'm here for Wealthwave Group. You took 50 million-dollars but didn't get the job done. Don't you think you should return the money?"

What the heck? Was Matthew out of his mind? Did he seriously think about collecting the money he had given away?

Lance looked at Matthew as if he were a fool. He sternly replied, "Don't you know the rules? If you don't want any trouble, you'd better get lost."

Matthew couldn't believe Austin was planning to keep the money. That was pretty crooked.

With a tinge of regret on his expression, Matthew gazed at Austin and nonchalantly remarked, "I'm here to help Austin because of Benjamin. Since I'm not welcome, I'll be going." What? Benjamin? After a moment of shock, Lance exclaimed, "Are you the miracle doctor Benjamin told us about? Are you Dr. Grant?"

With an indifferent look, Matthew glanced at Lance and turned to leave.

Seeing that the miracle doctor he'd

been waiting for was about to leave, Lance rushed in front of Matthew without hesitation. He dropped to his knees with a thud, blocking Matthew's way.

"Please don't go, Miracle Doctor! I'm begging you to save Dad."

Matthew looked down at Lance, who was on his knees. "I don't want any trouble. Austin might as well just die."

Lance slapped himself across the

face. "It's my fault. I was foolish enough not to recognize you. Please save Dad. We'll return the 50 million dollar to Wealthwave Group immediately. Please, I'm begging you to save Dad."
