Chapter 601
Zachary felt more pumped up just imagining the benefits of a ten-minute squat.
He was about to leave when Matthew came out of the room. As he leaned on his knee to get up, he noticed that his leg was numb.
Matthew walked over to the elevator and spotted Zachary. "What are you doing here?"
Zachary leaned against the wall, unable to move. "I'm waiting for you. Am I doing my squat wrong? I can only manage a little more than a minute."
Matthew chuckled. "Can you do a squat for me? I'd like to see how it looks."
Zachary held onto the wall, gritting his teeth. "Give me a moment. My legs feel like jelly."
A few minutes later, the numbness in his legs cleared up. He positioned his legs apart and performed the basic squats. Then, he raised his head and asked, "What do you think? Is there anything wrong with my form?"
Matthew circled Zachary and remarked, "Everything's fine. You're doing great."
Zachary looked unconvinced. "Are you sure there's no problem at all? Why can I only last a little over a minute even though I am physically fit?"
Smiling, Matthew replied, "You can't reach your goal overnight. Just take your time and keep training."
In the middle of the conversation, Zachary felt his legs getting sore, and sweat started rolling down his forehead, so he immediately stopped doing squats.
Wiping the sweat from his forehead, Zachary asked his most burning question. "How long do I need to train before I can score a rich girlfriend?"noveldrama
Matthew responded with a grin, "Work toward hitting at least ten minutes with your squats. Otherwise, when you go after a wealthy woman, she'll just make fun of you."
Zachary didn't want the rich women to think less of him. His goal was to win her heart on the first try. "I'll go home and keep training. Give me a month, and I'm confident that I can do ten minutes."
As Zachary finished his sentence, the elevator door opened, and he walked inside.
Matthew suddenly felt compelled to tell Zachary about Ninera Progeny Formula.
But just as the words were on the tip of his tongue, Matthew recalled the three warnings Ninera Progeny Formula raised and swallowed his words.
Ninera Progeny Formula wasn't meant for kings. Single men and those in poor health were also prohibited from using it.
Meanwhile, Zachary didn't have a wife and was in good shape. His situation conflicted with two of the rules listed associated with the formula.
Matthew watched as the elevator doors closed. He then turned around and made his way to the washroom. After finishing his business there, he came to a sink and washed his hands.
Looking at himself in the mirror, Matthew felt like everything that had happened was just a dream. Nothing seemed real.
Before serving time in prison, he spent all day working for a paycheck and then went home. Life was pretty monotonous in the same routine.
After he was locked up, his loved ones, friends, and work were all gone, as if everything he knew in the world had vanished. All he had left was being trapped in a cramped prison cell. His entire existence revolved around the prison as if the outside world had disappeared.
Right after Matthew got out of prison, Tessa asked for a divorce, and then one thing after another happened.
He had dealt with Rachel, the Carter family, medical sects, cultivators, the Wood family, Brad, Genesis Sect, the laboratory, and the Fuller family.
Every day was filled with all sorts of matters. Even though it all happened in the same reality, everything felt disconnected. All in all, he found the entire ordeal mind-boggling.
Matthew stood in front of the mirror and looked at his reflection. As he stood there for a long time, his thoughts gradually came together.
Throughout history, people across the globe had multiple facets. There were all kinds of jobs with countless ideas vying for attention.
Each individual, every profession, and each home was like a small world of its own. It was a time of constant changes, where technology made every industry exciting.
In this age, fierce competition unfolded beneath the surface. Everyone used their smarts and foresight to craft something remarkable.
Right then, Matthew's priority was collecting the teachings of the Eight Medical Sects to understand what it meant to be a Juprus. Then, he'd face what came to him with might and steel.
As he walked out of the bathroom, he had seemingly transformed into a whole new person.
What do you think?
