“What’s on your mind?” Miranda chuckled. “I’m not made of iron. If the task isn’t urgent, why pull an all–nighter? What’s the fun in that?”

Madison agreed, “You’re right. Then, how come you…”

“I just got up a little earlier than you.”

Madison sighed in relief and grinned. She asked casually, “How much earlier are we talking about?”

“Well…” Miranda glanced at her watch.

“Two hours.”

Madison was rendered speechless. She cursed herself for asking too many questions.

Just then, Sebastian walked out from the test lab with samples and reports in his hand.

“You… you…” Madison stuttered. “What time did you wake up?”

He answered truthfully, “6:00 am. Why?

She was lost for words. It dawned on her that she was the only one who slept until 8:00 am.

The rest of the morning, she turned her guilt into energy and worked with surprising efficiency. Finally, at lunchtime, she sighed with relief and stepped away from the lab bench..

Although the lab was stocked with kitchenware and ingredients, no one bothered to cook. So, Miranda had arranged for meals to be delivered thrice daily.

Madison took a bite and instantly recognized the food from a pricey local restaurant called ” Tasty Bistro”

Joli didn’t know what “Tasty Bistro” was, but he found the dish especially aromatic, and the rice was from high–quality rice. He finished three bowls in one go. After setting his utensils down and drinking some water, he returned to the experimental area.

Madison was just getting into the zone and wondered why everyone was so hardworking. She was tired, didn’t want to move, and just wanted to relay

After Miranda finished the second model test in the afternoon, she quickly changed clothes. and prepared to leave.

“Miranda, where are you going?” Madison asked.

“I have a meeting with the local sales representative for the new equipment. We’re negotiating prices,” Miranda responded.

Madison’s eyes immediately lit up. “Is our lab getting new equipment again?”

Miranda nodded. “Assuming everything goes as planned.”

“Great! Go ahead, and don’t forget your umbrella It’s been nothing but rain and clouds lately, “Madison reminded.

Miranda nodded and left. When she reached the utility room, she couldn’t find an umbrella. She looked outside and saw it wasn’t raining, so she decided to go without it. Since she was meeting the sales representative at a café near the lab, she didn’t bother driving.

By the time she arrived, the sales representative was already waiting inside. Upon seeing her, the agent immediately smiled and greeted her. “Hello, Ms. Sutton.”

Miranda looked at the short–haired, confident woman and immediately reached out to shake her hand. “Hello, Ms. Westbrook.

“I’m Jordana Westbrook. If you don’t mind, you can call me Jordana.”

“Sure. Then, you can stop calling me Ms. Sutton. My name is Miranda.” novelbin

“I know. When Mr. Cooper gave me your WhatsApp contact, he mentioned your name. Let’s sit down and talk…”

Jordana was a natural at conversation. She always got straight to the point without rambling, which made her seem concise rather than chatty.

In contrast, Miranda was more reserved. She spoke less and mostly listened to the other party talking.

Jordana said, “Look, this price is already the lowest I can offer.”

Miranda smiled and met the woman’s sincere gaze. She replied calmly, “When someone says something like that, it usually means there’s still room for negotiation, right?”
