Winter said, “Mr. Jensen, we’ll be off

Suddenly, Miranda interjected with a smile, “Why not join us for a meal? After all, we’ve already booked the restaurant.‘

“Really?” Sawyer was so thrilled that he could barely speak.

Winter was puzzled. She gave Miranda a look that said, “Are you serious?”

Miranda gave her a subtle nod.

“Alright.” Winter shrugged and gestured for him to come along. “Let’s go, then. What’s one more person anyway? The more, the merrier.”

Sawyer followed them happily.

At the restaurant, the waiter led the three to a private room. As they waited for the food, Sawyer suddenly suggested, “Since we’re just waiting, how about I perform a magic trick for you two ladies?”

Winter raised an eyebrow. “You can do magic? That reminds me, you showed off a trick at the Garrison family’s banquet last time.”

Sawyer said, “This trick is new.

“Go ahead, then.” Winter got excited and took out her phone to record the moment. “Do you need any props?”

He scanned the room before his gaze settled on a box of tissue in a nearby cabinet. He opened the box and pulled out five tissues in front of them.

Coincidentally, the tissues had different floral patterns printed on them.

Sawyer turned to Miranda. “Pick one you like.”

She chose one at random.

He took it, folded it in half, and unfolded it again for them to examine it closely. Then, he crumpled it into a ball and placed it in his palm. When he slowly pulled the tissue out, it had turned into a flower!

The next second, he smiled and handed the flower to Miranda. “Here, this is for you.”

Miranda took it and examined it closely. She was a little surprised. “A real flower?”

Winter put her phone away. “Hey, why didn’t you give me one?”

Sawyer’s ears turned red instantly. “I’m sorry, I only prepared one flower…”

As he spoke, he sneaked a glance at Miranda. Although she accepted the flower, she merely set

it aside after looking at it. Her expression remained calm and showed no emotion of being moved or delighted.

He couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed.

Fortunately, the waiter entered the room at that moment to serve the dishes.

Winter uploaded the video of the magic trick to her social media. The caption was, “Caught a free magic show, nice

After that, she tossed her phone aside and started eating.

It was 2:00 pm when the meal was over, Sawyer insisted on paying the bill, and Winter didn’t argue. “Mr. Jensen, you’re a rich man. One meal is nothing to you, right?”

He nodded immediately. “Yes, of course! It wouldn’t be right to let ladies pay for a meal. Besides…”

He turned to Miranda and stammered, “I’ve been meaning to treat Miranda to a meal. Now, I finally got the chance.” novelbin

Miranda smiled and said, “Mr. Jensen, you’re too kind. I should be thanking you instead.”

Over the meal, she had already gleaned a thorough understanding of Sawyer’s material development company’s business scope. An idea had formed in her mind, but she needed to discuss it with Madison and Sebastian first.

As Sawyer drove off, he felt a inix of excitement and disappointment. In short, he was feeling conflicted.

Winter watched his car disappear down the road. She clicked her tongue and remarked, Unrequited love is truly harsh…”

Miranda averted her gaze. “Aren’t we going shopping?”

“Right! Let’s go!”

Once they got into the car, Winter took out her phone to set up the navigation, and she frowned. “What the…”

There were ten missed calls and 42 unread messages.

Miranda, already buckled in, glanced over. “What’s wrong?”

Π

Winter scrolled through her phone while saying, “There are so many missed calls. Mimi, ‘your drive. I’ll sit in the passenger seat and reply to these messages.”

“Alright.”

They switched seats. As Winter read through the messages, her expression grew increasingly strange.
