Chapter 805 Theodore's Fury
Theodore stumbled into the car, sitting in the driver's seat as the fragmented light from the streetlamp fell on the hood. He punched the steering wheel.
Damn it!
How could Phoebe be pregnant? Whose child was it? Riley had clearly said she got her period, which was why he had lost all hope and agreed to the divorce.
But how did she get pregnant?
Theodore picked up his phone and made a call. "Lawton, I need you to investigate something for me, and I need it fast. Preferably tonight."
After hanging up, he tossed the phone onto the center console. Just as he was about to start the car and leave the hospital, he noticed a bag on the passenger seat out of the corner of his eye.
It was Phoebe's bag; he recognized it.
He grabbed her bag and started rummaging through it. He didn't know what he was looking for; he just needed to keep himself busy.
As if by doing so, he wouldn't be consumed by the pain.
He pulled out Phoebe's phone and stared at it. The camera recognized his face, and the phone lit up.
The wallpaper was plain, probably to prevent anyone from snooping, and didn't feature the triplets.
He stared at the phone for a long time until the screen automatically turned off, reflecting his bloodshot eyes. He then threw the phone back into the bag.
Taking a deep breath, he tossed the bag onto the passenger seat. He started the car, but just as he was about to drive away, he noticed someone standing in front of the
car.
He quickly hit the brakes and saw that it was Phoebe standing there. Cold sweat broke out on his forehead as he rolled down the window and yelled, "Are you trying to get yourself killed or are you just clueless?"
Phoebe rarely heard Theodore curse. He seemed to have a bad temper, but deep down, he had the manners of a nobleman.
But now, Theodore was yelling at her.
Phoebe had come looking for him, feeling uneasy. She knew she shouldn't have come
at this time because he was surely filled with hatred.
It was definitely not the right time to find him.
But her bag and phone were in his car; she had no choice but to come.
She stood stiffly in front of the car, trying to appear calm despite her fear. "I left my bag in your car. I'm here to get it."
Theodore looked at her with a fiery rage. "Phoebe, you never fail to disappoint me. Get in the car; I have something to say."
Phoebe hesitated. "My mom is still in the hospital. I just need to get my bag and go back up."
"If you don't get in the car, I won't give you the bag," Theodore said coldly, his eyes challenging her. After a moment of tense silence, Phoebe relented.
If she had truly angered him and made him hate her, her future would be even more difficult. It was better to clear things up today.
She walked to the passenger side, opened the door, and got in.
As soon as she was seated, the car sped off. Phoebe looked at him in shock.
"Theodore, where are you taking me? My mom is still in the hospital."
Theodore stared straight ahead, his voice cold. "Buckle up. Don't worry, I'll get you back safely."

Phoebe watched as the car shot out of the parking lot and onto the road like a bat out of hell. She quickly buckled her seatbelt and grabbed the door handle.
There weren't many cars on the road.
"Theodore, slow down."
As he sped past a taxi with a roar, Phoebe closed her eyes in fear. The breakneck speed terrified her.
Theodore ignored her, driving the Maybach like a race car. When he finally stopped, Phoebe stumbled out of the car and crouched on the ground, dry heaving.
Several times, she felt like she had narrowly escaped death.
Theodore's out-of-control behavior was terrifying.
Theodore slammed the car door and walked around to Phoebe, grabbing her shoulders and pinning her against the car door. He stared at her with cold anger.noveldrama
"Are you going to tell me, or do I have to ask?"
Phoebe suppressed the strong urge to vomit and looked at Theodore's handsome face, so close to hers. "The triplets are indeed mine. They have nothing to do with you."
The large hand on Phoebe's shoulder tightened suddenly. She could hear her bones creaking, as if they would break any second.
It hurt, but she didn't struggle.
"The second month after our divorce, I had a fling with a male escort. I didn't expect to get pregnant with triplets. I had nothing left; I couldn't lose the chance to be a mother, so I decided to keep them." Phoebe's voice was soft, but to Theodore, it was like thunder.

His heart was filled with rage and hatred. He shoved her away. "Phoebe, didn't you say you couldn't get pregnant? Why did you lie to me?"
Phoebe fell to the ground, her hands scraping against the pavement and drawing blood. She closed her eyes and gave a bitter smile. "I didn't lie to you."
"You didn't lie to me, yet you had children with another man?" Theodore's handsome face twisted with hatred. He grabbed Phoebe by the collar, pulling her up from the ground and throwing her against the car door again.
"You went to a male escort. You were so desperate for a man, why didn't you come to me? Was I not enough for you?" Theodore choked her, his body radiating anger like a demon from hell.
Phoebe's lower back hit the protruding door handle, causing her to gasp in pain. Tears welled up instantly. "Theodore, we are already divorced."
The words hit Theodore like a ton of bricks. He stared at her, his eyes red as if he hadn't slept for three days and nights. "You're trying to get back at me, aren't you?" Phoebe turned her head away, tears streaming down her face. "No, I just wanted a fresh start. Theodore, let me go. We ended three years ago; why keep in touch?"
The hand choking Phoebe's neck slowly loosened. Theodore pushed her away and looked at her quietly, making Phoebe feel uneasy.
She wasn't afraid of Theodore's anger or his choking; she was afraid of his calmness. The more he suppressed his anger, the more terrifying the consequences.
He curled his lips slightly. "You want to end this?"
Phoebe looked at his increasingly cold expression and grew more frightened. "I've slept with someone else and had triplets."
"Phoebe, if you're not afraid of dying, keep provoking me. If you think this will make me let you go, you're wrong. I won't!" Theodore stared at her intensely. "I wanted to cherish you, but since you're so desperate for a man, I'll fulfill your wish!" Phoebe's nerves suddenly tensed. When she realized the danger and tried to escape, Theodore grabbed her wrist and pushed her into the back seat.
Instinctively, she tried to get up, but the next second, she was pinned back down, and her shirt was torn into two pieces.
