Chapter 806 This Isn't Over

Phoebe's eyes widened as she stared at Theodore, who was hovering over her. The streetlight's faint glow illuminated his face, and his eyes burned with anger and madness.

A barrage of kisses rained down on her face and neck, leaving Phoebe with nowhere to hide.

She struggled desperately, pushing him with all her might, but he grabbed her hands and pinned them above her head. The familiarity of the moment stunned her.

It was just like that night in Room 8888, where he had forcefully held her hands above her head, giving her no chance to escape.noveldrama

Tears slid down the corners of her eyes, and she sobbed, ceasing her struggle.

When she stopped resisting, Theodore paused. He hovered above her, looking down at the glistening tear tracks on her cheeks.

Theodore hated her so much that he wanted her to feel the pain and despair in his heart. But seeing her tears, he couldn't bring himself to do it.

If Theodore really forced himself on her, he might feel a momentary satisfaction, but what about afterward? What would become of them then?

He let go of all his strength, collapsed on top of her, and bit down hard on her collarbone until the taste of blood filled his mouth, refusing to let go.

Phoebe gasped in pain, her tears streaming down her face even more intensely.

In the past three years, no matter how tough or exhausting life had been, she hadn't shed a tear. But in the few short months since returning to the country, every time she felt sorrow, it was because of Theodore.

"Theodore, I know you're a germaphobe when it comes to relationships. I'm not clean anymore, so don't come looking for me again."

Theodore paused as he licked the wound on her collarbone. He propped himself up and stared down at her.

"If you provoke me again, we'll finish what we started."

Phoebe instantly shut her mouth.

She turned her face to the side, feeling Theodore's gaze roaming over her face. She hoarsely asked, "Why are you doing this?"

"This is what you owe me, Phoebe. I gave you three years. If you hadn't come back, I would have gone to Caneda to find you." Theodore leaned back onto her shoulder, his tone cold.

Phoebe sobbed, "Why?"

"Because I hate you. I begged you to stay, tried to make things right, but you just wanted to get away from me. Phoebe, you treated me like dirt and left me behind. I swore I would never let you have it easy." Theodore's tone was harsh and cold.

Phoebe opened her mouth, but it felt like something was stuck in her throat, rendering her speechless. What kind of fate was this, making both of them suffer so much?

The only sound in the car was their breathing. Suddenly, her phone rang from her bag, the ringtone jarringly loud in the silent car.

She tried to reach for her phone, but Theodore held her tightly, making it impossible to move. The phone kept ringing.

Theodore, annoyed, got up and reached for her bag.

Phoebe looked up at him and saw the bite mark on his collarbone. Maybe it was because he was moving, but she suddenly thought the bite mark looked like butterfly wings.

Her heart skipped a beat. Butterfly wings?

Theodore took out the phone, glanced at the caller ID, and frowned. "It's Ruby. Are you going to answer?"

"Yes."

Phoebe took the phone, and Theodore lay back down on her shoulder, suddenly as docile as a large dog, not moving.

Phoebe felt suffocated under his weight. She answered the call, and Ruby's voice came through, "Phoebe, Evelyn woke up. She's fine. You don't need to come to the hospital tonight. I'll stay with her."

"Did she say she felt uncomfortable anywhere?" Phoebe's throat tightened as she tried to ignore the pressure from Theodore's body.

"She said she had a headache and felt dizzy. I'll get the on-call doctor to check on her. Don't worry, I'll take good care of her."

Phoebe replied hoarsely, "Okay, thank you."

"Don't mention it. I'll hang up now. Get some rest." Ruby quickly ended the call, and the car fell silent again.

Phoebe tried to move. "Can you get up? I can barely breathe."

Theodore propped himself up, still looking at Phoebe with intense hatred. He suddenly grabbed her chin, forcing her to look up, his eyes cold.

"Phoebe, this isn't over."

Just thinking about her going to a male escort made him furious. What made it even worse was that she had children.

Phoebe's long lashes fluttered as her mind raced with turmoil. Remembering his earlier madness, she didn't dare provoke him and said softly, "In the end, we're already divorced. Whoever I'm with after the divorce has nothing to do with you."

"Say that again!" Theodore laughed angrily. He suddenly leaned down, his lips dangerously close to hers, exuding pressure.

If she dared to say it had nothing to do with him, he would make sure they were connected again.

Phoebe's whole body trembled, and she backed down once more.

Seeing her silence, Theodore finally let her go. He sat up, and his phone vibrated in his pocket. He glanced at the caller ID, opened the car door, and stepped out.

Phoebe quickly sat up, feeling a sharp pain in her collarbone.

She didn't dare touch it and hurriedly tried to put on her torn clothes, but it was futile.

Outside the car, Theodore took a few steps away, his gaze cold as he looked at the back seat. His voice was icy, "Speak!"

Lawton, sensing his displeasure, quickly said, "Mr. Reynolds, I've found what you asked me to investigate. But strangely, the person who was pregnant at Horizon Wellness Hospital was Ms. Croix, not Ms. Ziegler."

"What?" Theodore's head snapped up. "What's going on?"

"The records from Horizon Wellness Hospital's obstetrics department show that in mid-April, Ms. Croix went for a check-up and was found to be one month pregnant with triplets."

Theodore immediately sensed something was off. Cindy had been inseparable from Patrick during that time, so it was impossible for her to be pregnant. The only one who could be pregnant was Phoebe, who had used Cindy as a cover.

And in mid-April, Phoebe had been divorced from him for over two months but was

one month pregnant. The child wasn't his. His face darkened.

"Don't tell anyone about this, understand?" Theodore instructed sternly.

Lawton quickly replied, "Yes, Mr. Reynolds."

After hanging up, Theodore stood in the night wind. If he had held onto a sliver of hope that Phoebe was using the male escort story to provoke him and avoid questions about the triplets' parentage, that hope was now shattered. The urge to strangle her returned.

Phoebe sat in the car, and even through the window, she could feel the gloom emanating from Theodore. She bit her lip and lowered her head.

Theodore soon got back into the car, sat in the driver's seat, and saw her disheveled state. He took off his coat and threw it at her, commanding, "Put it on!"
