Unforgettable love

Chapter 95

Chapter 95:

The manager glanced at the salesmen who were sitting in the lounge and refusing to go out and serve customers as he furrowed his eyebrows sharply. How dare they refuse to serve customers, didn’t they want their performance scores?

Did they just have shit for brains?noveldrama

At the manager’s glare, all the salespeople lowered their heads, pretending they hadn’t noticed.

“Maybe it’s because they didn’t have time to serve you thoroughly and satisfactorily since they had other customers to serve. It’s all my fault. As your supervisor, I have not disciplined my subordinates well. Please forgive me. I will make amends, OK?”. The manager smiled apologetically.

Terry still wanted to say something, but was stopped by Dolores as he thought the manager was pretty good to them and therefore they couldn’t argue this point to death.

“Ahem.” Terry also realized that he hadn’t said too much as he was too excited at the moment.

“Let me call you and ask when you will be able to test drive the car. This type of car has been selling well.” The manager pulled out his phone and made a call.

But it sounded like someone on the other end of the phone gave him a refusal and the manager got angry.

“Why didn’t you drive it far, don’t you know that demo cars can’t go too far, are you going to pay the cost of the oil?”

The demo car was driven to the suburban area and should take at least an hour to drive it back to the store.

Abbott had asked him to stop Dolores and he had done his best. Now that the demo car was not at the store, what was he to do then?

“How about this? I’ll come here to try it out next time.” Dolores said and got up. It was already four o’clock, Jessica and the kids were about to go home. They must have been tired after having been out having fun for quite a while; therefore, she had to get back to preparing dinner and couldn’t waste time in the store.

A sweat broke out on the manager’s brow, pondering what to do next. He glanced around the office and discovered that Abbott was sitting in a chair with his legs crossed and watching them through the window.

The manager felt helpless. The sales staff had not served Dolores satisfactorily at first, and now the demo car was not present and he could not take a test drive. What could he say now?

He handed Dolores a card with his name on it, saying, “Please call me when you come next time. I’ll take care of you.”

Dolores took the card with her name on it and said, “Okay.”

Terry and Dolores then drove to the parking lot. Terry opened the car door for Dolores, “I didn’t expect the manager of this store to be so ‘nice.’ He was much nicer compared to those salesmen.

Dolores remained expressionless as she thought the manager was overly hospitable.

Just then, a car was parked near her car. Dolores took a casual glance and saw the man getting out of the car.

He was standing in front of the car in the middle of the wind. His long legs were encased in black suit pants and he was wearing a baggy shirt. His appearance here gave the feeling that he was taking a little leisure out of his busy life.

The man looked at Dolores coolly.

Dolores was taken aback for a moment. Why had he come here?

He had no shortage of cars.

There were several limited edition cars in the garage of his villa, but he rarely drove them. Perhaps all the men in the world were car buffs and, even if they didn’t drive them, they were eager to buy them.

Matthew looked at Terry, who had opened the car door for Dolores, and fixed his eyes on Dolores. There were waves of emotions in his bloodshot eyes.

Dolores cringed for no reason, for she had never seen a Matthew so calm and quiet on the surface, but fierce in reality.

“How…how come you’re here?” Dolores asked incoherently.

“Get out of the car.” He ordered her.

Dolores remained impassive, “No need. Talk.”

Apparently, he was furious and that was why she didn’t want to get too close to him.

Matthew narrowed his eyes, “Are you sure?”

Threat! This was a blatant threat!

Dolores glared at him.

Had she offended him?

Why was he acting as if she had possessed him of some money as soon as he saw her?

Terry noticed Dolores’s reluctance at Matthew’s approach and stepped forward, asking, “Do you need my help?”

Matthew stepped forward, pushed him away and slapped him across the face – how dare he get so close to Dolores in front of him?

Being caught off guard, Terry took several steps backward from the impact of the blow. Blood filled his mouth. He wiped the corner of his mouth and discovered he had blood on the back of his hand.

Terry raised his head to look at the man who had hit him and felt a little dazed. He reviewed his memories and discovered that he had not been in contact with the man. However, he looked quite familiar, as if he had seen him somewhere in the past. Then, Terry suddenly remembered that he had seen this man before.

This man was a regular subjective of the financial news and was the youngest of the rich.

But had he offended him?

Could the rich bully others as they pleased?

Dolores had not expected Matthew to suddenly resort to force. She hurriedly got out of the car to check Terry’s wounds. The skin at the corner of Terry’s mouth was broken and now bleeding.

“Are you okay?” asked Dolores with concern.

Terry shook his head.

Dolores turned around and looked at Matthew, “Are you crazy, why did you hit him for no reason?”

“We still haven’t gotten divorce certificates and you’re still my wife, am I blind that I couldn’t see that you were hugging another man?”

“What are you talking about?” Dolores furrowed her eyebrows feeling extremely confused.

Had she hugged another man?

“Make it clear.” Dolores’ expression turned cold as well. Besides, couldn’t she be with the other man?

He was too overbearing.

Abbott, who had been hiding somewhere, pulled out his phone and showed Dolores the picture he just took, “My car was under maintenance here and I drove by when I was managing some business, so I decided to take my car. Then I saw you and…”

Abbott pointed at Terry and continued, “So I took the picture.”

Dolores stared at the photo with a rueful face because she was talking to Terry when the photo was taken. But the angle of Abbott’s photo made it look like Terry was kissing her on the cheek.

He teased, “Nice angle for the photo.”

Abbott gasped – good angle? This was what she had seen!

The commotion attracted some curious onlookers. Since Matthew was a well-known person, Abbott suggested leaving the parking lot first in case any scandal spread, “This is not the right place to discuss this matter.”

Dolores also didn’t want to argue with them in front of so many onlookers.

“I know a good place,” Abbott said.

Just as Dolores was about to get into Terry’s car, Matthew grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his car.

Dolores wanted to resist, but Matthew warned her with his eyes, “Be obedient, OK, are you going to make a fuss in here?”

Dolores’ face was almost distorted with anger. If it weren’t for the fact that there were still people from out of town here, she would have gotten a good rapping from him.

Who was making a fuss?

He’d hit Terry for no reason. Wasn’t he too brazen to say she was the one making a fuss?

She repressed her anger and sat obediently.

The place Abbott chose was one of his houses. He had decorated the house, but he didn’t live in it. The housekeeping staff cleaned the house regularly, so the house was fairly clean. Most importantly, the place was quiet, which was suitable for negotiation.

They entered the house. Abbott directed Terry to sit on the couch and said, “Say it. What’s wrong?”

Matthew grabbed Dolores’ hand and leaned against the low piece of furniture next to it. He scrutinized her hand with his head down and stroked it as if her hand was something precious.

Dolores wanted to pull her hand away, but for the moment she moved on,

Matthew grabbed her hand tighter and said, “Don’t move.” Terry blinked, what was he to say now?

He shifted his gaze to Dolores for help.

“Tell them about your relationship with me.” Unable to free herself from Matthew’s grip, Dolores could only let go, but she preferred not to look at Matthew and turned her face to look out the windows.

Terry answered truthfully, “Me and Miss Flores are partners.”

Abbott found this interesting and asked, “To what do you owe your partnership?”
